I just signed up and I'm having fun bidding on items. Its a cool site plus its very secure. I've already tried to bid on two items but I keep getting outbid...I guess thats the game of auctions....

It might be an idea to buy a few cheaper items first so you can experience it from a buyers point of view first, also people tend to be hesitant to buy of sellers with no, or a very low feedback score.

I've won a ton of things on ebay. The secret to winning something you really, really want is to be right there when the auction closes and try to sneak in the last bid in the last minute. It takes a little practice, but it does work. Good luck, and have fun!

I recently bought 4 items on ebay. Thankfully I was never out bid. I was place my bid and put a decent max bid. I always have a back up plan if I know what I am bidding on is a popular item. I like going to ebay and using the "Buy it Now" option when Ik now I am getting an excellent deal.

I like using ebay for my shopping. Sometime I do get outbid and end up not able to get the item I wanted but I can always find something else. I just bought 100 books and I am very excited. I cant wait to get it.

I have been an avid ebayer for years now. A suggestion is that you might place a proxy bid on the items your interested in. The way a proxy bid works....say the current bidding on an item is at $2.59, you really want the item and would be willing to pay a maximum of $10.50 for it. You can bid the $10.50 in ebay's system but the bidding will only increase from the starting $2.59 IF there are other bidders also actively bidding on the item. Ebay's system will automatically increase your bid if there is an opposing bid until you reach the maximum you have set up.

I do actually, you can find some great bargains on there! Just make sure you check out their feedback first and research that you aren't spending too much money for the item!

I love ebay. I love ebay...too much. I have to be very careful when I visit that site. I have a tendency to overspend my budget. Especially toward the end of the auction, when it gets all crazy and people are fiercely outbidding each other, and then it's really more the thrill of the hunt rather than wanting the item that drive you. And for me, it drives me straight to the poor house. :(

I buy and sell on ebay and I like it alot. Here is a tip to win an auction. Dont bid untill the last min, then refresh your screen when that min is almost up. Then noone has the chance to out bid you.
