If you saw the ghost of a loved one, would you be afraid?

I have never seen a ghost, and always thought if I saw one that I would probably have a heart attack, or at least pass out. If it was one of my deceased family members appearing before me, I don't know if I would be scared or not. Part of me thinks I would be happy to see them, but another part of me thinks that seeing a ghost, loved one or not, would frighten me. Do you think you would be afraid? What would you do? Would you like to see any of your deceased loved ones, or would you rather not?

In my case, maybe I would rather not because I don't know what will happen to me if I will see.If in case that that will happen then maybe at first,I will have a heart attack feeling but if always then I will not be afraid anymore.I believe that those ghosts who were scaring people are not their love ones anymore. They are demons. There are many case that if the ghost of love ones of a person wants to communicate with that person, the ghost or soul will just communicate that person in a dream....

I've had this happen to me one several occassions. My great-grandmother has appeared before my eyes about two times. When it first happened to me I was really scared. She passed away 5 years ago. She usually appears before my eyes when I'm feeling down about my family, school, my future, etc. This used to happen alot to me at her house when I used to go more often.

I don't think I'd be afraid. It would be different and strange, but I think it will be ok. Whay I would do is try to talk to them. Who I would want to see my grandmother and a very dear friend of mine that was like a mom to me. I miss them very much

I would be scared. I don't believe in ghosts but if I saw one I think I would think I was going crazy and seeing things that are not really there. But if I lost a child and it was my child I was seeing, I would be so happy to st least see them that I would not care. That sounds wierd but as a parent that would be hard!

I don't believe that our loved ones can go back and communicate, but I do believe there are evil spirits pretending to be our loved ones. The fact that we are frightened to see them is because they are not our loved ones, but they are just pretending to be them. The proof is that we are afraid rather than be glad to see them.

for sure I will be. someone told me that what looks like a ghost of loved one might not be our loved one because evil can deceive. I never see a ghost of my dad just smell his favorite balm a few times. but deep inside I feel that I would be able to tell difference between the true spirit of my dad and something else. we were always close when I was young.

I saw a ghost before and up until now I'm still thinking if I was just imagining things at that time or was it really a ghost. Anyway, about your discussion, well I don't think I'll be afraid. Maybe after the encounter will I realize that I had just seen a ghost. Possibly if they'll show up while I'm doing something, my initial reaction would be to speak with them then after they had vanished that's the time I'll be afraid because it's the time that that realization will sink and you'll think "I think I've seen a ghost"... yay!

I'm not sure, I suppose it would depend upon if they were nice or not. I've some pretty grumpy relatives lol. I agree though, a part of me would want me to see them and a part of me would wonder if they were truly my relative or not.

I don't know how I would react, but I do know that after awhile I would be glad to see them.

Hi, toofancy
I have seen my greatgrandfather's silhoutte when I was 9 years old. I didn't know it was him so I described him to my dad. what he was wearing and how tall. I wasn't afraid then because I was young and that was the first time I've seen one anyhow... but I've seen 2 white ladies before in my provice when I was 15. At first I though it was just my imagination and took a second and a third look and I finally focused on it. it was about 8 feet from me just standing below a big tree across our house. I saw it was standing almost a foot from the ground!!! gosh! that made me really afraid and ran back inside our house. It happened twice on the same spot and always at 7:30 pm. hahaha... Luckily I never saw it again since I went to college at 17 12 hours from my hometown. I don't know if that is a ghost but it definitely is a white woman with long hair, no face, and transparently white lol...
But I've never seen my dad appear right in front of us when he passed away but some of my cousins and neighbors had seen him walking in front of our own house once during his burial stay at my grandmother's house(a street away from our house). though I've seen my dad lots of times in my dreams smiling and trying to help us out especially when we are having problems... He never appeared to us for real lol cuz he knows all of us, me and my siblings are scaredy cats hahaha

I've not seen any ghost before, even though a few of my loved ones have passed away. I would think that if a ghost of a loved one should appear before me for the first time, I might be taken aback a little, not knowing how it will react. It will take some getting used to, but after that if the same spirit should appear again more regularly, I guess I wouldn't be afraid anymore. Anyway, I would never wish to have such encounters with ghosts.

i would be afraid but at the same time happy... the fear of seeing a ghost must overtake the minds but after which you will be happy talking or seeing the person.

Hiiii there
nice to hear from you about such topic.
ya thats true that everyone will be afraid if he or she see any ghost even the ghost is his or her loved one,
but the reason why we scared from ghosts is that we think that ghosts will hurt us but if the ghost is our loved one then there is no way of hurt so there is scare.
