how to know if the one who makes friends with you is true?

I think it takes time to see/realize if a friend is true or not. in my opinion, you know your friend is a true one when he or she is there for you when you need him/her, and doesn't take you for granted. .

I would have to say that a true friend is someone who is willing to be there for you through the good times and the day. They're the ones that you can turn to when you need someone to cheer you up and make you smile.

I also agree that true friends is always important in our life. It takes lot of time and experience to know if a friendship is true. Most times we can understand easily if the friendship is true or not when the person shows interest when we are sad or stay with us when we are down. Good friends stays with us not the good times, but also bad times.

true friends are those friends who are still there after a few years even if you rarely go out and see each other. luckily we have cellphones where we can text them or call them up to meet up once in a while. you may have hundreds of "friends" but only a handful of them are real and who will be there when you need them. i have this old friend who lost touch when she had a bf, after three years, they broke up and she remembered her friends. now, we go out again like we used to do before she had a bf. so that made me realize, take care of your friends because they will be there for you more than a bf. the bf can hurt and forget you, but your friends will never forget you, they may hurt you by telling the truth but you know they care for you that is why they tell you the sad truth
