do you take your shoes off at the door or leave them on?
My house has hardwood floors throughout most of it, the only exceptions are the kitchen and stairs. We leave our shoes on if it is not wet or muddy outside. If I don't have to go anywhere, I tend to take mineoff as soon as I reach my desk chair. We don't worry much about the floors because they are old and as I said, wood. The get dirt easily no matter what we do or don't do.

Hello lynnemg, good day to you. After going to a place like school and go back home. When i am in the front of the door, i always remove my shoes and carry it, then put it in the proper place and enter to the house in order to avoid dirt. I learn that thing in my my mother, you know what? Why until now everytime i go enter the house i always carry my shoes, because if i did not do that my mother will scold and punish me. Hehe... lol. That is the rules in our house, that we must maintain the cleanliness. We always maintain our house clean because we are thinking that if a unexpected visitor will go visit our house, he/she will notice that we alway go clean our home. Well having a clean house reflects to those who are living there. I hope you get my point. Well that's all my response to your forum topic discussion entitled " when you walk into your home". And i hope give good opinion response to your interesting topic. Happy posting and happy earning! ! ! Good luck to our earning career here in this site mylot. . . =)

the footwear we had worn outside tends to go straight to the shoe rack. although if there would be no danger that it would be stolen i'd leave my footwear outside. i read that in feng shui footwear should be left outside because it brings dirt into the house which isn't good. in their language, bad luck. however, having my footwear stolen is going to be more bad luck so i just put my footwear straight to the shoe rack.

As soon as we enter the front door we take our shoes off. Our apartment is carpeted so we prefer to take them off at the door.

I don't normally take off my shoes when entering the house. Now if it is really muddy outside I will take them off write in the doorway before even stepping onto the carpet. My carpet isn't in the best condition however I like to keep it as clean as I can for what it is worth.
Sometimes I will have a child take off shoes because of all of the jumping and running that can take place.
Most of the time I just feel more comfortable wearing my sneakers in the house and I don't get too dirty anyhow.
My son wears shoes outside and for the most part they are off in the house.

I hate shoes! Mine are coming off as soon as I walk into the door. Most of the time I also kick off my shoes at work as well. Going barefoot is the greatest, as it is sometimes hard to find shoes that are comfortable enough to keep on any longer than I have to.
