Do you still read it? or is it just staying there in the altar accumulating dust?
I do read scriptures, because a friend gave me a bible diary and I like how it's formatted. There's a good explanation and teaching after every scripture. Plus a meditation instruction where it features questions about life. It's great.
I'm not a very religious person, but it's a good way to be in touch with my spirituality. Plus, it's not misleading, nor does it ever want you to deviate from your religion (whatever your religion may be). Unlike the book that was released here in my country years back (the purpose driven life) which was misleading and in the end was advertising or advocating people to transfer to their religion. Whew!

I try to read the Bible everyday because I believe it's the best possible information for us. I also make research on the portions I don't understand and try to apply whatever I can in my daily life.
God created us, he knows what we need like a parent knows the needs of her child. Trying to apply, to the best of our ability, God's word in our lives can only have good results. :)
