Is Family Guy better than The Simpsons?

The Simpsons is such a funny cartoon show and had stayed like that for the past years now but have you heard of Family Guy? It's quite funny, in fact very funny. I think it's even better than the Simpsons. Peter Griffin is better than Homer. At least that's what I think.

No, in fact Family Guy seems a bit lame to me, though American Dad is funny if you have seen that but lacks the wit and irony of the Simpsons

I think that The Simpsons is running out of ideas I really still enjoy watching the simpsons but family guy is fresher and has newer ideas.

Family Guy makes me laugh occasionally, but they never have, and never will, put as much intelligent thought into an episode of Family Guy as they put in one of The Simpsons, or even South Park. I can watch Family Guy and let myself laugh at the stupid stuff they do, but it's random and chaotic, with jokes coming out of nowehere and having nothing to do with the characters. The Simpsons, though not as good as it was, is still, on a bad day, 10 times as intelligent and well-written as Family Guy.

I think they both have their merits! We're talking two completely different types of humour here too. I enjoy both of them just as much as each other, but I've watched the Simpsons for close to 20 years now, so would probably tend to lean towards them a little more as my ultimate favourite. Family Guy too is very funny and pushes the boundaries on so many more levels than the Simpsons and I do love that aspect of it. 
Unfortunately it's not a show that I get to see where I'm living now though, but the Simpsons are on daily.

I have nothing against The Simpsons but i find Family Guy a lot funnier. Every character in Family Guy has a funny story to tell. The animation is pretty good too! The punchlines, plot, etc, they're all funny. Everything about Family Guy is so damn funny. I just can't get enough of the Family Guy. I can watch it everyday without getting tired.

I am gonna go with the Simpsons. Family guy is funny sometimes but sometimes I find the humor offensive. I never had this problem with the Simpsons. I have been watching it for 15 years and I still love it.
