I think at the starting the earning are very low and as our rating is more that rate per our activity also increases. I found very hard to make around $0.11 till my rating goes up to 4. Now I am easily making without too much of effort around $0.30-$0.40 in a day. It all depends on the quality of our content. I feel our rating increases when we start the reasonable discussion and commenting to the responses of our discussion rather than responding to others discussions only. But no one is sure about the earning calculations.

I agree with yo kumarpslv, it does seem at first that I would post away for an hour and only make a few cents. Now it seems like less posting is giving more money. I try to write more that one or two lines a post, download pictures when I have something relevant and add friends and interests. I also have one referral and she is a great one! Even on the days when I don't have time to get online and post she does, so every day a few more cents go in my account.

Hmnmm...
Mylot is not a big site for making fast money.
I have received an alert
that mylot is expanding our opprtunity to earn
but even I or the others are still guessing
and doesn't have the exact idea about it.
Uploading pix can help
and longer post.
You can try to have 5 lines or longer to make a quality post.
Quality post earns more.
I have post about 100 already but I only got
$1.05....
Its not easy to earn here.
But mylotters helps each other
]by providing ideas on earning better and easier
try to hear them out.
1000 post is a sure number to get your $10.
Have patience, mylotter.
You got a long way to go.

The 'rate per hour' is almost impossible to calculate. Some people are able to think and type more quickly than others and payment for an individual post is decided by a very complicated algorithm (which we are asked not to speculate on!)
Some people do manage to make $10 or more regularly every month. My impression is that most of those spend quite a few hours a day every day to achieve it. My own experience is that somewhere between $0.20 and $0.70 a day is what I can expect. I can think of many ways in which I could better use my time if money were the only object but I, at least, treat MyLot as a community and a recreation rather than as something with a realistic earning potential. I think you will find that most people who have been here for any length of time will say the same.
One skill that MyLot has very definitely developed in me is the ability to write an intelligent paragraph or so on nearly any subject. I find that I can now do that much faster than I could a couple of years ago.

I think it took me a few months to make my first payout. I wasn't very good about visiting mylot often though, so that is part of why it took me quite awhile. It really depends on how much time you have to put into it. It's possible to make payout each month, but you just have to make sure that you are visiting mylot each day and being consistent about making enough posts. I usually don't have time to do that, but I think I am going to make it a new goal for myself to try reaching payout each month. I think the best thing you can do is just to post as much as possible whenever you have time, and also upload pictures, cause that will help to increase your earnings too, although I'm not sure how much those are worth. Also, now that they have the new tasks feature, that should help to increase earnings. Good luck with reaching your first payout!

it all depends on how active you are. the more active you are the faster you earn. it took me under a month to reach payout and this time i am almost there and it has been 2 months( i wasnt as active last month).

It seems like my earnings are increasing with time. For instance, I answered just a few discussions yesterday and made more than when I first started. The key is really to give quality answers. As you build your reputation, your earnings will increase.

To reach $10, no. of quality posts are required than time. You can calculate yourself with the cents that you have earned till now with the no. of posts. Irrespective of the fact than you are still away from the minimum payout keep posting. However, always try to post something which is both descriptive and informative, only this will ensure that you reach the payout level. Good Luck.
