Hi guys! I just want to know if you do observe the saying FIFO or First In First Out in some things you do. I got the acronym from one of the fast foods where I worked before (in 2005) and that is Jollibee (fastfood here in Philippines and in some other countries.) The method says that we need used or consume which came first.
When it comes to my clothes, I don't wear again any cloth I just wore few days ago even if it is already washed and clean. Let's say a shirt, I put it back under the other shirts stacked in my cabinet. Then I wear what is on the top of the stock. In case I don't like the one on top I choose the next shirt but only until the fifth shirt. I do the same with my shorts, jeans, pajamas and underwear. I like to wear my clothes in a cycle and I don't know why I do this. The only reason clear to me is that I want them to be used in a fair manner and that is by giving equal chance for all my clothes to be worn. And maybe to avoid tearing one easier and making them look older earlier than the others.
Anyway in case you don't do that weird habit that I do, what are the things in your life that you do the FIFO method? Can't wait for your responses!

Can I view the principle in a different situation. As most of the malls observe the first in first out principle, the milk and food at the front are usually the earlier supplies, so anything at your easy reach are mostly of a longer time since production. We had better double check the expiration date, not to pick those close to that date, rather bother to the far end to get something fresh.

Yes I agree with you. What you mentioned is a good example of the principle of FIFO and I myself have observed that. When I go to the grocery I always check the expiration date especially of breads so that I get the newer one. You are right because those in front are usually those produced earlier than those stocked at the back so I really get the one at the back. I guess what the malls and groceries doing is right because they observe FIFO but customers must be wise enough to know FIFO as well so we could get more fresh and new items. And that is for our own good. Thanks again for the wonderful related response.
