There are rumours on the internet that the show American Idol could be fixed. The comments from judges are believed to be scripted. When facts could be manipulated at any level including the political secrets that might have changed the face of the earth, I think it is quite possible to manipulate a TV show to make it more appealing or to help producers make the most out of it? What do you think about it? How fair are the comments of judges on American idol?

i think it is a little naive to think it is impossible, after it is entertainment. The winner turns out to be a big star in most cases and they sell a lot of music between the songs for the shows, the money the original artist is paid, then when the CD of the winner drops the sell around 250k the first week alone. Remember when Paula read her comments from an performer that had not even sung yet. There could be something going on,never say never.

I have always, since the birth of "reality tv", believed them all to be fixed. If they are real, then why do they need writers to begin with?!

i think it's somehow fixed in a way that judges can already see the winners as early as the first audition. fixed in a way because who are they kidding? the people high up in the network would definitely have a say in the winners. when you're working in a trillion dollar industry like hollywood you have to watch every step you take.
