Well, keeping in mind that they are pets, I treat mine well and with the same care I would give any other member of our family. I can certainly see me opening the door as carefully as you not to wake up our dog. I cooked for my dog tazz when he was sick and wouldn't eat. I spent nights feeding our cat bailey with a dropper because he was to small to be away from mommy.
However, I keep in mind what they are. What the social rules are for them in a pack for example, so in that sense I don't really treat them as humans because I don't think it is the best thing to do.

We don't have a dog, but we do have a cat. We always treat our cat with consideration. If the cat is sleeping on our laps, we try not to move unless it's absolutely necessary, and then when we do, we pick him up and move him to a comfortable place where he can continue his sleeping, while allowing us to get up and do whatever it is we need to. At night the cat sleeps with us in our bed.

Hello vanities. I can see how much you love your pet dogs from the way you open your door in order not to wake it up. Yeah, we used to have two poodles, each at a different time. We treated them very well and always offered them sausages to eat a day and gave them a bath a day to make sure that they felt good and comfortable. Take care, vanities.
