How many DVDs do you own?

Between my boyfriend and I, we own a ridiculous number of DVDs..close to 550. Seeing that number in print does seem a little insane, but we hardly ever go to the movie theater.
Our usual date night is that we will head to Best Buy and choose a DVD to watch that night(or pick one we already own), I will make dinner and we sit down and relax. It's much cheaper than nearly anything else we can do and we enjoy it.
How many DVDs do you own? Do you generally watch them only once or over and over again?

At the height of my film collecting I had over 1000 videos, 100 laser discs and around 500 dvd's. I whittled down my collection a few years back and now have around 200 videos, 250 dvd's but still have all the laser discs.
I think I have only ever purchased one film "The Russia House" which I have only watched once, the rest I have watched countless times. I use to go to the cinema quite often but these days I rarely go as it's far too expensive here in the UK. Plus I prefer watching a film in comfortable surroundings without any disturbances so watching at home suits me more.

You know, I've lost count lol. I know we have three stands full of dvd's and vhs tapes that we do watch. There are some that we have which are favorites that we watch over and over. However, it's cheaper then the movie theatre, we can watch them at our leisure and if we need to pause we can. We have a lot of kid friendly movies too because it's just nice to curl up with the family and a dish of popcorn and enjoy them together.

Hi... I have nearly 150 DVDs of my own of the regional language movies and nearly 25 DVDs of hollywood movies. And i have more than 150 movies in my system right now.

My boyfriend owns about 800 DVDs. We organize them once every six months. He's obsessed and the colletions like his baby. It kind of sucks though because there's no reason to go out to movies unless we really want to see a certain one because he has so many we havent seen, but then it's great because we can watch almost any movie we want for free. Too bad we are both bad decision makers...
