For primary school pupils,to study in order to attend junior high school/
For junior high school students,to study in order to attend senior high school/
For senior high school students,to study in order to attend college/
And then when we make it to attend a college,a group of people keep studying marching on to attend a graduate school,in which way they can gain more advantages than those who get lower academic certificates when hunting for a job/while another group of people finish their career as students when they graduate from college and find a job, yet still go on studying from the society in order to get better prepared for the prospective betterment of life. that's what's most of our chinese students think about studying. In short when are stuying to get better jobs in the future and get better life..

I guess study is a sort of exercise for the brain, but i think at school we should not have to study all subjects although I do believe we should be told about things without having to study them and then leave study for the important things for out future and possible anything that really interests us...i think back and most of the things I studied at school ended up being pretyy useless.

Education is the best "gift" one can give him/herself. No one can take away what you learned in school. Technology or knowing things on your own will not be at par with learning in a real school environment. Studying in a big school makes you learn and meet "classmates". They will hone you to be who you are in the future.
I graduated college in 2000 and I am about to graduate from my MBA by next year. Having further studies also works wonders in advancement in one's career life.
