A small change to your lifestyle can make a big change in your weight.
1. While sitting at school class or in front of your computer or at work doing paper works, exercise your legs and arms. You can shake them while working (or at least your legs when your hands are occupied). Every ten minutes, stand up and make simple stretchings, these basic stretchings are also good for the health.
2. Less sugar and salt. When drinking coffee, try not to add sugar(and creamer), that way, you'll appreciate the coffee more because you are able to taste it without the interference of sugar. It's also good because coffee is a good source of antioxidant. Sugar can be absorbed from other food so its best not to have it in your cup of coffee. Salt, with regards to losing weight, keeps water in your body. The more salt you intake, the more water the body will be carrying. To lose the water and salt, exercise. The reason why sweat is salty is because the water in our body contains salt. It's also harder to perspire when the body contains too much salt.
3. Prefer food from the kitchen than fast foods. Fast foods often serve fried foods. Fried foods are cooked with a lot of cooking oil. If you have time, its best to eat homemade food rather than fast food. You can also save more money since you do the effort. It's also a form of exercise to cook your own food. Imagine the activities you perform while cooking. Chopping the vegetables and meat, walking around to get the ingredients, stretching your arms to get the seasonings and so on.
4. When you go to work that's up in a high building, it is a form of exercise to walk the stairs. If you work on the fifth floor, you could take the elevator up to third floor and climb the two more floors through the stairs. Or if you're going down, you could walk all the way down. Its easier walking down since gravity is on your side. And walking to work also livens up the brains so you could work more efficiently.
5. If possible, rather than taking the bus, if your work area is reachable through a bike, its best to invest your health with it. Buy a bike and ride it on your way to work and back home. You could save more from your transportation expense and get more time to exercise.

Not only does it reduces weight but an active lifestyle goes a long way for good health. One can gain endurance, vitality and power gradually without knowing if he/she keeps doing physical and mental activities.
It is also good for the body to work out at a high level. Heavy or streinous exercise for just three to five minutes is good for the cardiovascular muscles.
Examples of these would be running, biking, dancing and other exercises that could make a person perspire alot.

Hey, Many thanks for the tips, but please clarify to me how one can lose weight by commuting to office on a bike.. i was plannign to buy myself a two-wheeler(scooter).. would it have same effect as a bike??
Another tip top reduce weight is to eat small portion of food, but 5 or 6 times a day.Instead of having 2 or 3 BIG meals in a day, break it up to 5 or 6 portions that u have in breaks of 2.5 to 3 hours. In this way, you will increase the metabolism of your body.
Also do NOT skip your breakfast. Its very important.

Great Tips! Very insightful. I just cam across a diet that seems very interesting. It involves drinking milk. Check out my website about this new diet phenomena: http://www.squidoo.com/milkforweightloss
I am even keeping a log of my progress, showing the difference in my belly as I follow this diet. I am still in the early stages of the diet, but it seems to be going well...we shall see!
