I'm just a part time freelancer, i only accept the project when i was free. It is just another way to enjoy the work. However, since i'm not full time freelancer and i still got to take care my full time job. Sometime it will be abit hard for me due to the time limit. Anyway, i was doing this since two years ago and i might consider to make myself as full time freelancer if i lose interest on my full time job

I would agree especially when starting out to freelance on the side. I have a fulltime job and do some freelance when I have the time to help augment my salary. Last year I was able to pull in about a grand which I feel is good since I also had a fulltime job and was going to school fulltime. Hopefully this year will be even better.

I've always had an employer and I think I'd feel insecure without it. LOL!
My sister turned freelance last year. She has more projects now and yes, she holds her own time and can earn more than tied to one company (because she works for events). However, she sees some benefits that come if employed rather than being a freelance person. On her own, she doesn't religiously pay for health insurance and social security, etc, unlike when employed, it is automatically taken from her salary.
Aside from my work, I sometimes do events on the side to to help me augment my income. It comes along once in a while and it's great!![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

yeah its really true and its good to be a freelancers but the benefits that you can get
in the long run of having that kind of job is the problem but if you by yourself have a control over the money that come in and out at your pocket and save for the future and also investing for yourself for those health insurance then there is no problem on it.
but definitely when people received the money we forget to save for the future instead we just think of the present..
The bottom line its good to be employed and a freelancers at the same time.
Cheers for you jam![](/Content/images/emotes/thumbup.gif)

I've been a full time freelance writer for 6 years. I think it's the most fun, challenging, exciting job in the world. I have the freedom to set my own hours and I can turn down any jobs I don't want to take. The money can be AMAZING - but only if you're smart enough to avoid the slave labor sites like Associated Content or Bukisa or Triond or Helium.
