Hi guys, this is something I've been thinking about. I don't know whether this discussion is breaking the guidelines but I've read through and I think it's ok. My question is "Do you think it's healthy to be myLotting everyday?" To me it's healthy in the sense that you gain new knowledge every single day. Unhealthy because you are too engrossed that you forget the world around you. What do you guys think?

You make a good point. My short answer is no. If you want to BE healthy you have to get up and be active. So I guess if you m-lotting while running in place or doing yoga it very well could be. But how's doing that? I have to confess I'm just sitting here m-lotting AND watching TV

I think that, as with anything, there should be a balance. I love my lot and when I first started I did devote a lot of hours to the site. I don't think that there's anything wrong with My lotting a lot just as long as you are happy. There are no rules and regulations regarding this. I think that it's good to just follow your heart and do what is right for you. I suppose there is the danger of forgetting the world around you but that doesn't matter! Have you seen the state of the world nowadays? Andrew

MyLotting (or for that matter any other website) can become addictive and soon you might find yourself neglecting or distracted in your major activities. The trick is to confine yourselves in meaningful discussions as far as possible, with the primary aim of gaining and sharing knowledge. The money you get is a bonus.

It would affect your health whether you are mylotting or not but are spending too many hours in front of the computer/laptop. I am in the software field so even my full time job involves working endless hours on computer. If I am mylotting or doing other stuff on the computer at home offcourse i am straining my eyes. Enjoying mylotting is a totally another matter ;)

In all things that we do what is important is moderation in all things that we do. I guess it is healthy if you would Mylot every now and then and get back to you normal lives again. By doing this you are just normalizing you routine and having Mylot in it is not bad.

Ummm...again whether it is healthy or not....does not really concern me. Never come across my mind as I am listing up stuff and relisting up stuff that I am selling online so might as well sign up , open another window and earn some money whle the stuff is being loaded up on the other windows. By the way my husband is selling stuff in the website you visited and I am selling other stuff in ebay.com.my under this same myLot ID.

No, if that's all you think about doing.
My marriage wouldn't survive if I went through the day thinking about the next time I can mylot. No. There must be a healthy balance for everything.
Are you suggesting that you might have a mylot addiction?
Is it affecting your relationship life? Interfering with your worklife? Is it causing you to steal time from your employer?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, then yes you have the beginnings of a problem. It's not too late, if you have yet to be fired or dumped. But know you have a problem, and begin to cultivate other interests.
Don't get me wrong, mylotting and working or playing on the Internet is cool. Just don't let it take over your life.

I think mylotting is just fine! It helps me pass the time and I enjoy reading what everyone has to say. I think it also allows you to gain knowledge from others. If you're actual on here and unable to focus / pay attention to the world around you then I guess it would be a problem - but I don't see it that way for me. I see it as a great way to pass the time with a great group of people!

Well, I have had no problems till now about mylotting regularly. Apart from increasing knowledge it’s a good time pass too. However, too much of anything is certainly bad and mylotting continuously without any break can certainly set in fatigue
