What to do for Spring Break?

The kids are home for spring break this week. Aside from going to the park or taking a walk, what are some things to do with the kids that doesn't cost any money (except for maybe gas money)?

My girls aren't in school yet and his son is usually at his moms during spring break.

I miss having the kids home everyday. When I get home for work they are in school already. My youngest started kindergarten last year. It was hard to get used to the silence. It is nice to be able to do the shopping and run errands while they are in school though.

I wish i could run errands alone sometimes. I think I'd miss them though.

sadly to say, I still got to work during the spring break. No time for fun anyway. Recently, even comes to holiday, we tend to stay home, and not willing to spend money at all.

I feel for you. I also have to work during spring break. Fortunately I work nights so my days are still free to spend some time with the kids. I don't get much sleep when they are off but it's worth it.

Around here there are lots of things to do that don't cast. Our zoo is free and there is the Science Center that is also free. There are a lot of museums that are either free or only a few dollars to get in. McDonald's PlayPlace is also a nice way to get the kids out of the house.

WOW, unfortunately we have none of those things. Not even the McDonald's play center. We have a few parks to take the kids to. There is a small pond they can play at.

Well, make I have discovered that the best thing to do with the kids, not only over Spring Break, but over the the full extent of their adolescent life, is to put them to work. I'm not talking household chores, (although they should be made to do them when not at work)but real, honest to goodness JOBS! We're talking child labor here people, sweat shops, black market underground mining in parts of Russia type stuff. Make those kids work for you for a change. And if that doesn't appeal to you then take them to a city pool. Hope that helps.

Hmm, city pool or sweat shop? That is a tough one. The city pool is not yet open, so the sweat shop it is!
