I am a newbie to this kind of responsibility and I need help. I want to know the MUST DO OR MUST NOT DO in traveling a Toy Poodle? I also want to know the IMPORTANT THINGS TO BRING with me in traveling a toy poodle?
Let us say, the traveling is by plane, bus or private van and the traveling time varies from 1 hour to 12 hours at most.
Please help. Thanks in advance!

I have two miniature poodles and I have been traveling with them. With the older one I went on a trip to the island of Sark in the Channel Islands. He traveled with us by car to the ferry port, then he went in his travel box on the ferry. He was placed in his box on the car deck. When we arrived in Guernsey and we had to take a water taxi to Sark because we had missed the ferry. When we arrived we took my dog out of the travel box and walked up to the campsite. I have taken my dogs on train rides of up to six hours. I take water to give them at intervals, dog food for stops, a comfortable blanket and a favorite toy that is safe. Good luck traveling with your toy poodle.

I am wondering if it would be safe and advisable not taking with me a travel box or cage?...Say, I will take the poodle at my lap or a basket bed? I want the baby pet to be at my side especially when I would be riding the bus unlike when I would be on a private van. Is it safe for the baby pet with such situation? Thanks again!
