Well Luckly I live in a nice neighborhood where I dont have to worry about crime. So I dont even think about it that often. Since I rarely here about people getting killed or having homes get broken into. So im real luckly to live in this wounderfull town where most people are friendly and dont cause any problems.

There are lots of instances of house theft & burglary in my neighbourhood. The police will be on vigil till 2-3 AM , but after that nothing much can be done.As for the safety measures are concerned we have put grills all around the house so that no one can break in.

Thanks! That sounds like an interesting safety precaution; I've never heard of that. But I'm glad it's been working for you! It's definitely scary living in a place where crime is an issue (although it could be said that crime is an issue everywhere we look). But thanks again!

The very low crime rate in Singapore is the primary reason why I refuse to relocate away from this small island city state. I won't be comfortable leaving my family behind if I knew crime was rampant in my neighborhood when I go to work. Protecting your loved ones, and providing for them are the daily aspects of life a parent has to endure throughout their lives. Knowing your family is safe, already cuts that burden by half.
