I rebelled against the strictures of conformity today. I had a bonfire in my garden. I burnt a load of dead stuff that had been threatening to pull part of my fence down for ages. WHOOSH went the flames and I was pleased. Bonfires are against the local byelaws, but I like to lead life on the edge. Just call me a Guerilla Gardener! Do you break the rules in your garden, or anywhere else?

We are allowed to burn in our area as long as we contain them and not let them go haywire. Sometimes you just gotta push against the restraints of authority sometimes .. I guess we all have a little bit of Guerrilla tendecies..now and then.

Nah..Unless you drink and drive..But I bet you would b sneaking over to the next county every so often to stock your bar. Which I am sure alot of others do so as well..The main thing is not to get caught while having it in the car..I love a good screwdriver, strawberry daiquiri, fuzzy navel and a little bit of Jack sometimes..But it has been awhile since I have drunk any about 2 years...We used to drink atleast twice a year..on New Years and Fourth of July and that quit when my parents got right with the lord again..SO No more.."Becky cries into her Mountain Dew"

Go p1kef1sh yer rebel....lol
I always just siddle up to the rules, never crossing but close enough to make me feel like I'm breaking them, although I've had words with my sons teacher today and told her exactly how she is to speak to my child and nothing less will do, so does that count ?

I find when tackled the teacher always says different to what the child as said happened, (I always go with my child if he's making it up, better that, then me finding out later he was telling the truth) I just didn't like her questioning my son over something I felt she should of asked me about, so she just needed to be reminded that my son does have a mum that will go in and yes it is a worry when they have your child in their care, she apologised btw to my son and myself. My son came home and commented on how nice she'd been to him all day...hmmmmmm!

There are laws? Could have fooled me. What with all the idiot behaviour I see and everyone screaming, "civil rights", I really thought laws had gone the way of the dinosaur..............
So you go right ahead and live on the edge P1key. Everyone else does............

Hi P1kef1sh, You naughty boy, you rebel you, bet it made you feel good though eh! LOL. I also am not allowed bonfires but although I don't ever by fireworks I will light one around that time after making sure no neighbours washing is out to dispose of stuff. I also break the rules when I go into work a lot of the time as we are supposed to use footbridge to cross road but I tend not to the bulk of the time other than that I am pretty law abiding but I do question a lot of it at times. Huggles. Ellie :D

I know that footbridge. I'm not sure that I have ever actually crossed it either! LOL. I did look to see if any washing was out and didn't see any - except a couple of towels of mine that were quite some way away and didn't smell at all when I brought them in. XXX

Having spent the last two days cutting back pampas grass, and having small cuts all over my hands...I think next time I'm going to use a torch on it....lol. In our area, open fires are banned, but outdoor fireplaces are not. It's amazing how much can be burned in those...and the ashes (once they cool) are the best fertilizer in the world. Do you spread your ashes?

We're a bit touchy on the subject of fires here friend.
I tend to worry about the environmental impact of anything I do. There are a few people here who go round collecting old fridges, washers, dryers etc. Then they burn them to get the plastic off then they sell the metal for scrap. The fumes are disgusting and seep right inside the house and they can be choking. Anything smelly is really noticeable out here where the air is usually so clean and fresh.

even if I want to, I won't be able to lol
hubby is very strict about the house and we can't afford being fined for anything right now so I'll have to hold any rebellious act right now

I am a conformist now. But when I was in my teens, I was a rebel..lol...broke almost every rule there is...but of course not the really criminal ones...I was mischievous and undaunted; maybe because when I was a child, I was told everything I should do and had no decision of my own, and I wanted to experiment. Now I'm tempered and at this age, I should be able to achieve balance. lol. Cheers and happy mylotting.

I have never had a bonfire at my home but I have in the woods when I was in high school. We would go back there and drink under age.

I'm in a crazy, nauhty patch Humbug. LOL. Must be the sun that we are having. It was actually hot today. But that might have been the bonfire! Speeding. That's very naughty indeed. Write out 100 times, "I must not drive faster then the speed limit. Especially in the Welsh village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch or the New Zealand place calledTaumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu"

Funny thing is I did not know there was rules to gardening. I don't know how to garden. I am going to learn how during springbreak. The kids and I are going to learn together. My man can not believe we don't know how so he is going to show us. As for breaking other rules, I have to work at not breaking the rules. So, every day I go to work and come home and try to be good and stay out of trouble. So, have fun gardening. I will try too!!!
