rough shooting

Can anyone tell me exactly what rough shooting is, i'm unsure, I have searched the internet but can't get a definate answer.

Rough shooting means shooting animals on rough land, for example shooting prey on moorland without beating the bushes to scare them out of hiding. Usually dogs are used to retrieve the kill.
