Its been a long time

Hello everyone! Its been a long time since I've been here. I was just wondering what everyone has been up to and what did I miss. I see they have tasks now. I'm not sure if I will do them. Has anyone tried them?
Nothing really new with me. I'm still living with my boyfriend. We have been together just over 9 years now.He is a volunteer firefighter now, so he is gone a lot. I still have lots of cats and I am up to 6 dogs. Thats my limit. I'll try to remember to post new pictures soon.
My grandsons are getting big. The oldest just turned 5 and the youngest will be 3 in June. If some of you remember, the youngest is deaf. He has hearing aids but he hates them.
I'm planning on growing a garden this year. This will be my first attempt. Wish me luck. If anyone has any tips, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thats about it for me. Whats new with you?

Hello Brendalee! Long time no see around MyLot! We are going to attempt a vegie garden this year too. I have to inquire with our landlord about a space that is vacant to see if we can use it for a garden. The spot gets a lot of sun so the garden would benefit from that. To keep weeds at bay lay down some newspapers around the plants and in between the rows. This will hinder the growth of the weeds. Big huggers to you!

I have been hovering around here and Gather. Lately I haven't mustered up the courage to write anything or respond much to those who have. ~sigh~ I have a bit of the blues I guess. Maybe a bit of sunshine would help. Or winning the lottery!

I know that feeling well. I'm taking a mini break from gather. All the drama finally got to me. So I decided to check back in here. I am a big fan of winter but even I think its time for spring to get here. Good luck with the lottery. LOL

I think a lot of people are going to say "same old same old" in reply to this lol. I don't think you've missed much at the site, you already noticed that there were Tasks added; so far they have been pretty easy to complete. Glad to hear you and your bf are still together and your grandkids are ok. Good luck with that garden! What are you planning on growing?

Sorry, I didn't see this before now. I am planting a lot of flowers, a bunch of herbs,tomatoes and I am not sure what else.

Well, it has been a long time since you started this discussion, and Yes, this site is still around and going strong. There are a lot of us here who have continued to stick it out, and it is still as Great a site as ever. Hope things there are going Good for you.

Hi I have missed you. My question is where do you put all the pets?
I got a new puppy here name is Daisy May and she is a Rat terrier and she will be 1 April 22. She has an aggression problem so I have to really be strict with her and keep a firm hand on her. I also have to take her for a walk almost every day. It keeps me out and walking which is good. I am hoping she will get in my pool this summer and swim with me.
I did have a job but it has ended so we are no longer getting the extra money. I need to find a steady part time job.
I have gardened a little bit. The thing I will tell you is if you grow a garden in flower pots you have to fertilize them often. When you use regular soil there is enough nutrients in them but when you use potting soil it does not have enough nutrients.

Thanks for telling me whats new with you. Thats a good question about where I put my pets. Some days I feel like I am in an obstacle course. They are all in the house. I sometimes refer to it as playing doggie twister.LOL

Thanks for the welcome back. I was quite active here about a year ago but I popped in every so often after that. I am trying to be here more often now.

Found you through the myLot Refugees Facebook Group. You've been with this site for 10 years???!!!! That's a record breaker! I guess I should kowtow to you.
I just became a member last year. For the past 10 years I've been trying to earn a living doing online work. It's was "new" a decade ago. Nothing new about it now! Same old, same old. Some of it I would even consider ancient history that might be available via wayback digs through the Internet graveyard of archived webpages.
