How big a house do you really need? How big is your house?

We moved onto our rural property last Oct and have now been living in a Park Model RV that is only about 360 sq. ft!!! It houses me, my husband, a med/big dog and a very spoiled cat. It is pretty crowded but we all like each other and we've just about made it through the winter. We have to wait for spring to build a permanent foundation for our mobile home. We then plan on renovating the old mobile, adding an addition (porch & second bedroom) and a sunroom. Yay! I get my sunroom! What size of house do you live in? Do you think it is too big/too small/just right and why? I think that alot of people live in houses that are way, way too big and it is just a waste. What do you think?

I agree that a beautiful house is better than a big house. Also, I wouldn't want to have to clean a big house. When we lived in a big house, people were more likely to come and visit though. Now that we are in such a small place, we don't get the company we used to. Which is not necessarily a bad thing...

That is great, that what my husband and I were going to do,when our daughter was small. But,he has passed away, our daughter is 12,which I homeschool. Therefore I need room for her supplies. And I also babysit my 2 year old grand daughter. That calls for more space for toys and clothes.Living in a RV is great for a couple or maybe for me and my daughter when she gets older.

I am so sorry for your loss... I would imagine that homeschooling a child requires quite a bit of space for supplies, books, etc. Do you utilize the internet in your homeschooling? I couldn't imagine living in such small quarters with kids - especially a teenaged girl - they have a lot of stuff!

I live in a one bedroom one bath apartment. it is very very small that when you enter the door you'll be in the living room , the dining table will be just beside the couch, the kitchen will be like 2 steps away and my bedroom will be 3 steps away. i am planning to get my own house hopefully this month.

Sounds kind of like my house right now!!! The one really nice thing about a small place is... it's sooo easy to clean! Good luck on getting your new house... Do you live in a city where it's hard to find places to live?
