I always think that we all go to school for education. We follow the books, and we come to understand the knowledge with the guidance and help of our teachers. As we grow up, we gain that experience to read books, and understand it ourselves. Self - education can be possible. We can pick up a book from a bookstore, and we can teach ourselves to practice, and develop a specific area of knowledge ourselves. Can you self - educate?

Hi,
We can self- educate ourselves by reading books and information. However, it will takes up more time to understand the content as there is no teacher around to explain and make things easier for us. I do read up information on finance and investment at my own time.

As long as you have the foundation you can continue to self educate yourself. After obtaining a solid foundation in computer programming and network administration in college I have since taught myself additional programming languages and network platforms. Without the basic understanding it would not have been possible though.

Not everything can be learned from the book or other resources, thus it is also impossible to self-educate in all areas of learning. There are subjects which are best learned when we receive them from people who already had prior experience.

I think you can educate yourself and go forward in life. Sometimes I think it is better to educate yourself because I think it sticks with you longer. I like all the things that life has to offer and it is good if you can educate yourself to a certain extent because there is always something to learn.

Although there are all kinds of resources available online for self education, we need a coherent and overall picture of the human wisdom, and more important, the way of thinking, logic, reasoning, analysing, judgement, etc., which is knitted in the whole process of education. And the personal communication in a community is more significant a skill to master for a successful career.
Given the above, we need continuous education, which can be easily handled by ourselved, either by taking leisure time programs or online.
