Make sticky buns from scratch and have them help! They learn in the kitchen and takes alot of time with a great reward in the end.

It all depends on the age of the child. Board games, building type games, there are lots of science type kits at Discovery Store and then at Target they have those indoor games like to play basketball or hockey.
