I dont know why I am the chosen one for all the rude employers. I usually end up with employers who are rude and my lates wears the cap. She is a socialite and high and mighty. She expects things to be done at her whim and fancy, appointments must be had, whether ther is a slot available or not, no thank you, no soft words, just talk rudely because you are the boss and we are below you. It makes me see red, but then I need this job, so I suffer quietly. I hope desperately to be able to withstand her comments and sharp tongue. Well, some day, God will take pity on my soul and I will never have to work for the likes of this. All my bosses have had a miserable temper, so I just grin and bear it. What would you do ? You need the job. Am I doing right in taking it lying down.

I had a boss like that and I stuck with her for over 12 years. It was hell. Yet I was a good worker...dependable and honest and I knew it. I bit my tongue so much for the same reasons as you...I needed the job. I loved the job but so hated working under her. Once I up and quit and took a lower paying job. She came to my employment and offered me a good raise to come back. I eventually did. She hadn't changed but it kind of told me how she really felt about me. Every once in a while, I did stand up to her and a few times began seriously looking for other work...never in the heat of the moment but because I seriously hated working for her. she always gave me a raise and being a single mom...I could not take a job with lesser pay. She since has sold the business and my new boss is awesome to work for. Jobs are really hard to come buy right now. I know it is hard but do your best and suck it up. One way I got thru it was to look at it as ...she is the idiot that pays me for doing what she says is a lousy job. I absolutely refused to quit and she never fired me so who was REALLY the idiot? hang in there. If she were truly unhappy with your work...she'd fire you. She is just one of those hard to deal with people.

Phew, that must have been hard, having to leave a better paid job for a lesser one, but then even we have some dignity in life. Wonder what stuck up snobs think of themselves. Anyway, good luck and God bless. Thanks for all the encouragement.

Do not give in. Go on with your crusade. These bosses are always like that. They think by showing their whims they would have a control over you but they are the great loser. So go with your pie.
