The chicken or the egg....which came first?

The age old question. Which came first? The chicken or the egg?
Some say say chicken, some say egg. Some say both, some say neither.
What about you? Would love to hear your explanation on this. I've heard some funny ones from other people. What about you mylotters?

Actually there is no clear cut answer for this. May be its an evolution. Due to natural and chemical changes in this world the egg formed and and chick came out.
My doubt is y always people ask whether the egg came first or chicken came first.
Y not ask about about any other bird types.
For example butterfly. Did the egg come first or butterfly come first. There are certain things for which we don't know the answers. So i think its no use asking questions like this.

I know there is no clear cut answer, I just started the conversation for fun. I've heard some pretty funny comments about this so I thought of asking my fellow mylotters. Why chicken and not 'other birds' is because chicken is a common animal everyone can relate too. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts.
