Is true religion meant to unite the humanity or divide it? Possible answer would be that it is meant to unite. If so then what we see these days, the religion dividing people, does that mean it is not true religion.

I believe this is exactly what it means. I see a lot of people going through all the moves but they aren't getting the benefit they should from it.This tells me we just are not doing it right. I have done an extended study of this and I have found the problem but I can't get anyone to believe me. The Bible back me up but most people have a problem understanding it from the Bible. I have a little Yahoo chat group I am going to post all of it on where people can study the Bible and get what I do from it. When I get it set up I will post a link to it. Art

You are right, most people have not been able to understand the Bible or the Quran.

A religion can only be as good as the people that make it up. A religion is an inanimate object. It does not have a life of its own. It cannot stand on its own. It is made up of people good or bad. If the people are spiritual and peaceful, then the religion will be spiritual and peaceful. If the people are war-like and violent, then the religion will not be peaceful either. It is not the religion that divides humanity, it is the people that divide themselves. They make that choice. Of course they will blame whatever they can, instead of taking the blame for themselves. So, religion is the word that takes the blame for wars and violence. Shalom~Adoniah

That means people have made the religion and it is not made by God!

There is a pretty good collections of very good points in the three above posts. If God had indeed built our religions they would all be exactly the same and this world would be quiet different than what it is. Art

You can not speak of religion as if it ever was meant to encompass all of humanity. At the dawn of the human species there may have been one inclusive religion but all too soon one religion became two and two became many. A religion unites a group of people who share a common belief. Unless someone finds the universal truth and humanity unites in a universal religion to celebrate that truth; religion will continue to be something that differentiates people, not something that unites humanity. There is no true religion, only religions that are true to groups of people who agree on a shared belief.

True religion would unite all those that practice true religion. But could true religion unite with the false? Obviously not, for if it did then it would only be partly true. So yes, true religion will unite some of mankind but not all of mankind.
