Why is Firefox trying to act as a server?

I occasionally get a pop up from my ZoneAlarm firewall asking me if I will allow Firefox (my browser) to act as a server. Is this something dangerous? Why would it want to act as a server? Should I say yes? I'm not sure what to do.

Sorry cannot help. I never got that message from avg and before this I had different anti-virus and firewall programs and didn't get it either. I have been using Firefox for a long time now.

I love Firefox. The only gripe I have with it is it prevents pages from re-loading like when I'm taking a survey and I have to push the permission button for the survey to work properly.

It might be the server to its add-ons and to it plug ins. You can see from the task manager, under process, the fire fox will consumes more memory than the all other. This might be the reason for that, but I am not sure about that.
