here's a brief information about the Philippine history. In March 16, 1521, a Spaniard named Ferdinand Magellan colonized the Philippine Island until 1898 but Philippine didnt get the total independence yet coz the Americans colonized us and in 1939, the World war II ended the colonization of the americans but the Japanese conquered the Philippines and it ended in 1945 with the help of the Americans fought with the Japanese troops until they were defeated. So the Philippines got the total independence on 1946. This is the reason why Philippine people is of mixed races because of colonization. We have Spanish, American and Japanese ancestors.
