Do people prefer to buy their kitchenwares online or they prefer to visit the actual store in person. Many people buy various things online. So my fellow mylotters what was the last thing that you bought for your kitchen ? Was it a kitchen appliance or some special kind of kitchen tool or any thing else. Do share with others. Also mention from where did you purchase that stuff and for how much. Maybe with your experience others can benefit.

I prefer to buy things in person. Online shopping is great, but I always worry that I wont get what I thought I would be. The last thing I bought for my kitchen was a dishwasher. I purchased it from the Brick, and paid about $500 for it. It is really great to finally own a dishwasher again, as it saves me a great deal of time after meals !

I do a lot of online shopping but never for kitchenware. Anything purchased for my kitchen I have to be able to see and check it out to know whether it is worth my investment or not. The last thing I purchased for my kitchen was a cutting board that I purchased at Wal Mart. It is a wooden one with handles that I can hang it up after using it and it cost $15.00. I love it!

Due to lack of time I often use to buy my kitchenwares online, last time i bought a microwave of around $100 from astore and it is working fine but it doesn't mean that online shopping is timeless it also take a bit of time to examine the features of appliances or utensils so that they can meet your requirements. I personally, prefer to go to the shop and buy kitchenwares as I can see and examine the features clearly. But it is not bad to do shopping online as it is time saving:)

Well its never too late to buy new stuff for your kitchen. You can also try online stores like Amazon.com if you really do not have the time to buy from a shop in person.

I almost never buy anything online for the kitchen because I want to see the item. My most recent purchase was some high end Santoku knives from Chicago Cutlery. I am a knife connoisseur and need to hold and possibly use a knife before I buy it. I paid upwards of $60 per blade but they will be in my "kitchen arsenal" my entire life so it's a worthwhile expense.
My most important tip to buying a knife for use in the kitchen is to make sure it has a full steel blade, meaning the steel of the blade extends all the way through the handle. If it doesn't you will break it. You can break a knife with a full steel blade. I prefer wooden handles on my knives.
It's also important to keep your knives honed and sharp. You don't cut yourself in the kitchen on a sharp blade (unless you are extra careless). When you do cut yourself with a sharp blade, the wound will heal better. Dull blades cut and tear the skin leaving ugly scars.
Oh, and I have never cut myself working in the kitchen, in 38 years! That is because my blades are always clean and sharp.

Id rather go for shopping my own kitchen stuff... it is better that you see it for yourself first to compare the quality of the product. The most recent thing I bought for our kitchen is a two door refrigerator... I spend less than 30 minutes to decide which one I will buy, but its all good!!! :P

Most recent stuff that I have bought for my kitchen is a new double door refrigerator. My mother wanted to buy this since a long time so we planned and bought this on her birthday as a surprise gift for her. We purchased it from a nearby LG showroom and its cost is 35,000. It's a good piece and my mother liked it very much and was so surprised and very happy to see that on her birthday. And obviously we were very happy to see her happy.

The last thing I bought fo rmy kitchen was a deep fat fryer. I bought it at Walmart with a gift card I was given for Christmas. My husband likes his food fried but he is skinny and healthy so he can have it. I buy most of my kitchen things in person.

for me, i always buy my stuff offline in person. it's much safer i feel though nowadays many are buying online too. it's become safer though risks are still there. i bought some dish detergents and groceries. i don't buy appliances as often as they can last for quite long. groceries are what i buy often.

I tend to buy things for my kitchen offline, although there have been some online purchases. I find that I have bought several small appliances such as toaster, coffee grinder, and tea brewer, online. I like to shop on Overstock and also through Amazon. The most recent stuff that I bought for my kitchen is a spoon for dipping dough so as to make my cookies more equatable in size. On that same day I also bought some new pots. I find that I never seem to have enough pots, as I'm always breaking pots.

I rarely buy things on-line unless they are difficult to go and get personally. The last thing I bought for the kitchen was a pack of three different sized scoops. I saw them in the supermarket for under £2.00, and thought 'there have been lots of times when I've needed a scoop', so I got them. Of course since then I haven't needed one!

It depends upon what I'm buying. I really like Overstock because of the price mark downs and sometimes they have specials on shipping. However, most of mine I get at regular stores. The last items I bought for the kitchen was a new crock pot. My old one was getting icky so I bought a new one that was also more counter friendly.

I bought 3 wire whisks, I love to whip up sauces, gravies, desserts, etc. with them. I purchased mine at ShopKo. I like to be able to see and feel the weight and strengths of what I am buying. To see how sturdy they are.

I do prefer to shop my kitchen needs on stores or malls not online because i have to check it for myself if it is in good condition and works fine. It is difficult if i depend on shopping it online, i may not be able to select what i really wanted.
About the recent stuffs i bought in my kitchen, well i bought a new set of drinking glass, a mitten with free pot holder. And then i also bought a new cheese scrapper and a tong to handle hot pots and bowls.
I also bought a new hand towel for the ref which is colored purple, a new set of coasters made out of bamboo mats and a ref top cover colored pink for the dust. I purchased all of these stuff in one store called D-Mart, just near our place. It was cheap to consider buying kitchen items there. Happy Mylotting!

I prefer to go to the stores in person.I brought lots of kitchenware recently for our new home. They include non stick pans,Pressure cooker, lids.spoons, plates, glasses, steel vessels, cups etc..It is a big list dear.Among them i liked plates very much.I don't buy anything online and it is not popular in my place.Whatever we want we go to the store directly, see the stuff we want, touch and see the quality and if possible we bargain. But now many stores has fixed prices.Happy mylotting..

I think the most recent stuff I bought for my kitchen was a bunch of baking kitchenwares. Actually they were my Christmas gift given by somebody, I got cake pan, loaf pan, couple other pans etc. I think he got it at Macy and they are kitchenaid products so I asume they have good quality :-) So far I have used the loaf pan and bread pan, they were all very good and easy to clean off. I like them! ^_^

I prefer to buy in person from a store only. Because, while we puchase online, we can't see the material nor its quality. Last time I purchased a Juicer. Alongwith it I got a coffee maker free of cost. Both these products are good to my satisfaction and I enjoy making juice from vegs and fruits everyday. EVen my children love to make juice on it. Coffee Maker also a good. The taste of coffee made on it is very nice and within a minute we can make a glass of coffee on it. I bought it for Rs. 1300/- (around 25$).

Some of my favorite kitchen purchases are as follows:
Command Performance Gold Pans. They are stainless steel with aluminum cores for even heating. They have glass lids so you can see how things are cooking without peaking. You do have to cook the food at a lower temperature to prevent burning but I absolutely love them. I have bought two or three package sets from www.hsn.com. I thought the price was very reasonable ($100-$200 per set) but it's been a few years. I like that HSN demonstrates the product and are very good with returns. I like to wait until they put their products on special price before buying.
I really like my Kitchen Aid Mixer. It was well over $300 but worth every penny. I think this is the most expensive item in my kitchen. I made sure that I purchased the one with a commercial motor rather than the cheaper version because I got tired of replacing mixers. If you love to bake, this is a must have. It will cream cold butter in just a short time. Cookie recipes mix up super fast. I love the way it handles any kind of mixing, whipping, kneading operations. Definitely check it out on the kitchen aid web site to make sure the model you are looking at is the one with the commercial motor. There are also attachments for doing things like making noodles, grinding meat, etc. The attachments are sold separately.
I love anything from Pampered Chef as their stuff really seems to last a long time and is engineered well. I especially like their bamboo spoons and pizza stone.
Our family is hooked on the Swissmar Peelers (set of 3) at Williams-Sonoma. They are very sharp so be careful when using them, but you can peel almost anything with them. They will work if you are left or right handed. I like to just rinse them off when finished and hang them on a hook in my kitchen. They are $15.00 for the set plus shipping and handling. Here is the web page for them: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/sku7018542/index.cfm?pkey=cslicers-graters-peelers&ckey=slicers-graters-peelers
Happy cooking everyone!
