Hi mylot-ers...
talk about high school days... its the most unforgetable days in our live because that is the time for us to learn become mature people, the transition period from elementary and being prepared to the college life.
When you were in high school, who was your favorite teacher?
In what subject? What makes him/her your favorite one?
For me, my favorite teacher during high school is sir Arnold Lukas. He is a biology teacher, that is popular until this present time as "sun go kong" teacher because wherever he goes, he always bring his "magic stick" to fly. Hahaha.
He always call himself as sun go kong or monkey magic. Do you know the chinese legend for the monkey, monk, pig, and a monster that travel around the world, they kill the bad monster and satan that will make people suffer. So, Sir arnold is the monkey magic... He is a jokes master... everytime he enters the class, he is so funny and i will get stomach cramp because of too much laugh.
But dont think that this teacher is funny and the quizes are easy... its killing me! He is really a killer monkey... If he ask student about the lesson, and also anything out of the lesson, and if the student cant answer, he will use his magic stick and give them "magic sickness"-- you know what i mean.
"call me... monkey magic or kera sakti (bahasa indonesia) or else you will die!!!"
that is his motto. In our secondary high, there are many classes for every grade. Grade 1 has 10 classes 1.1-1.10, the same also with 2nd year, and 3rd year. and for 1.1,1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2 are the class sections with highest population for smart and diligent person, that is why, everyone is struggling to enter section 1 and 2 because those are the most "interest" section. Most teachers enjoy to teach those sections because the students are smart compare to other section...
The story here, when i was in 1st year i got section 1.10 because i got sick during entrance exam... and 2nd year to 3rd year, i belong to these "interest" section. Mr Arnold or SIr sun go kong called me the newborn goddess because i was a monster that metamorphosed into goddess... ahahha crazy teacher.
He is also teaching genetics and i was his favorite student. One time, he was tired to teach genetics because twice he taught the student about the genes, the students still cant understand the lesson. So, he chose me to teach the students.
"Manya... you go to section 2.7 and 2.9, teach them lesson about mendellian law... i will give you additional points! Hmm... you're a goddess, remember that. teach them properly hah? im lazy to enter the room..."
What sir???? i was so shy, im really good in genetics? aha... but i did the same. and he really added my points... everytime i go back to my hometown, i always want to meet this teacher. I wonder if he is still crazy like before. i hope he is in good health... doing well... with his magic stick in his hand while he walking around the school.

I didn't like a lot of my high school teachers but a few come to mind. I always enjoyed the time I was in my Algebra 2 class with Mrs. Smith and I also always liked our health teacher- Mr. Trueblood.
I had a choir teacher that was a lot of fun too,but I only had him for a year as he moved to Sweden to teach music there. His name was Mr. Kramer and I had already been in a class with his wife too. I believe that she was a music teacher too.

my favourite teacher in my school was mrs.alexander and she came for us for teaching english . at that time i was scared when i see her. eventhough she teaches good ,i got less marks because of scareness i think .
after so many years of her teaching, now also i will meet her sometimes in any others marriages or any occasions. she and my mother are friends now also and they will meet sometimes as they both live in my childhood place. when i visit my mother's place ,i sometimes visit my teacher also . she reminds me now ,about my behaviour in my school days and my marks also. she scolds me now also ,for not getting more marks at that school days.
and one other teacher i liked was my 'hindi' language teacher named anitha and she is good in nature and very soft going. this hindia subject i have got good marks.
i also meet this lady also sometimes ,when i visit to my mother's place.

My favorite teacher in High School was my social studies teacher, Dr. Jones. He really made us think! I kept some papers I wrote for his class. The papers are filled with ideas that definitely showed I was moving from being a child to preparing for adulthood. I like Dr. Jones because he made economics an interesting study instead of the bore I expected it to be.

i guess the reason why i love my speech teacher was because i was at ease with his subject. he was a great man. all jolly and always wise. however, he passed away already due to a cancer of the blood. it had been 8 months since he was buried when i found out. guess i made an impression on his office (he was also one of the board of directors) that when i made a call to him his secretary remembered me at once.

I had two favourite teachers – one was our chemistry teacher and the other was our history & English teacher. It was not really the subjects they taught but the way they behaved with the students that made me like them. They were more like our friends than teachers and very approachable all the time. I remember if we ever had to go to the staff room for anything, we would be scared coz most of the teachers did not like students entering the staff room but these two teachers were different. They always welcomed us with a smile. Even in class, we could ask them any questions about anything…even their personal lives. When we were in class IX and X I remember we were old enough to understand many things and the bondage increased. I remember these two teachers very much.

I think it is my maths teacher.During my high school in China, it is very tedious and boring beacause of so many tests and examinations around us all the time, but he brought us light of fun to some extent. He has sense of humour very much,he always told jokes during class, perhaps i don't remember all of these jokes clearly but i learn by heart the happines he ever gave us.He also taught us many convient measures of solution and how to think about things logically . I sincerely appreciate the help he has given me...

Haha...your teacher is so intersting!
As for me, I have deep impression on my English teacher, she is so pretty, but not tall, I can see smiles on her face all the times during my whole school life! She loves all of her students, patient to each one whom are good or bad at English. She always encourge me to learn it well, it is so useful in modern society, I firmly rember it at the bottom of my heart. And I will never forget her in my whole life, but now, I miss her very much, hoping she everything is alright!
Hi, Mr Gong, I love you so much!

My favorite teacher when I was in high school was my teacher in Home Economics. The reason is that she teaches well and she speaks clearly. She is very enthusiasm and she cares for all of us especially to those classmates of mine who are slow learners. My favorite subject when I was in high school is science and that is since first year to fourth year. My most favorite branch of science is Physics because I enjoyed a lot of exercises and I found it easier to learn than other sciences. Maybe because it has exact computations like those in Math.

I forgot the name of my favorite teacher from High School as it was such a long time ago. He was my history teacher and I liked him for a typical reason - he was CUTE!! He was the nice guy type who made me smile every time I saw him. Coincidentally, when he started teaching me, my grades for history jumped from 55/100 to at least 80/100. They should have all teachers made that way....

my favorite teacher when i was in high school was named sir Pet Roey. he was my teacher in biology subject. he was in good looking, white skin complexion and his favorite sport was lawn tennis. he was one of my crush before until such time that we became closed with each other and i was only surprised when he was courted me but i never accepted his love for me. i was only realized that i love him when he was transferred to Cebu city why because that time i felt really insecure to somebody who is very much happy together with his/her bf. because the absence of his love for me i am always crying. that was my very first sadness when it comes about feelings or emotion.

I can't say I had a teacher that stood out like he did.
I had a lot of teachers, one was also my sister's swim coach...
Fact is that I had a gal in my grade that actually looked more like me than my sister did - and she had the same first name as my sis, but since he asked me if I had a sister who swam, I knew he had the right one.

If there is one teacher that I admire much in my school days, it was Mrs. Teofila Fuentes, a teacher of my most favorite subject Pilipino. I like her because I like very much the subject she was teaching. I still remember how I excell in that particular subject before. I like it when it's time for writing compositions of poems and short-stories and everything about Filipino literature. I also knew I was her most favorite student at that time and she always let me checked the composition works of my classmates after she checked mine.

My maths teacher and my language teacher when i was in standard 10 but I would place my maths teacher at number 1 spot because I never get penalized from her while I got a penalty from my hindi teacher for doing no wrong things.
Still he was among my favorites because the way he used to make me understand the topic was superb. He was the only teacher i could see was devoted to his job.
All else were just coming to the school to earn money and nothing else!

My Favorite Teacher in High School was Mrs. Rita LaFond. She was my Home Economics teacher. She taught us how to cook, sewing, alter clothes, learned how to sew with wool, and line it and match plaids, to decorate a house, we made small scaled houses. We learned how to alter a pattern. We also learned to cook from scratch, and to cook and entire meal for the people in your group in the kitchen. We went on tours to a butcher, to watch where the different cuts of meat came from on a side of beef, then would go shopping for everything we needed and we were put on a budget to purchase the items. It was a wonderful learning experience. I had her throughout my Senior High School Years, and carry her teachings with me still to this day.

Hehehe. For me, Ms. Mortel who teaches Biology is one of the best teachers I ever had. She made biology very interesting to study.
Sure she is strict at times, but you will get the lesson when she is the one teaching. Too bad she is not teaching anymore. She was really the best.
