When are you too old to start having children?

I am getting older now and am wondering if I will ever have "the time" or the money to have children. When is it too late to have children? On another note, is there an age where it is too young to have children, even though you thought you were ready? Please help me in my quest.

I read in one of the websites.. that the best ages to have kids is from 18-late 20s... because that time women tend to have more fertile eggs.... but it is not true that women in their 30s... have a hard time conceiving... but there are more chances that the child born might have autistic or some other problems... there are more risks.......

The simple answer is when it is no longer physically possible. If you are a healthy person and your ovaries are still working then there is no reason why you should not be able to get pregnant but there are so many other factors. The best thing for you to do is talk to your doctor.

I was curious because I am knocking on 30's door and feel I am still not ready for children and wondered if I would ever be ready for children. Has this happened to you?

Every lady is different and some are ready to have a lady in their early twenties whilst others wait until their late thirties. Some teenagers have a baby and that is rather young but it is fine if they can cope. I think that a lady of 40 is fairly old to have a baby but some ladies have a baby up to around age 45. It is easier to get pregnant in the twenties and more difficult possibly after age 35. A pregnancy might be planned or it could come as a surprise. I had my first baby at age 22, my second at age 34 and I am now 36 years old and pregnant again. My baby girl is due in larte June.
Age 16-19 possible but not ideal
Age 20-25 good time
Age 26-30 superb time
Age 31-34 fine
Age 35-40 fairly late but OK
Age 40-45 could be risky but might be alright

You can have children as long as you are physically able. My sister had her daughter when she was 40 and her husband was 52. They are the older parents, but so what! They are both healthy and wonderful parents.
Don't go on your age. As long as you stay healthy you should be fine.

As long a s you are ready to have child, there is no such thing as too young (except of course if you are below the age of minority). On the other hand, while you are still physically capable of bearing a child, then you are not yet old to have one. I maried at 30, got pregnant at 34 and had a child at 35. I don't consider myself old to have another child even if I'm now 38.

It's a difficult question to answer and a hard place to be in for a lot of women. I don't think there is ever a wrong or right time. Of course, biologically speaking when you are over 35, it may be harder to concieve, and when younger than 18, it will probably be hard to support a baby.
But most ages in between I think that money and 'time' should be put aside. You will probably find a way to look after your child even if things don't seem to be the exact way that you planned.

well usually it's with woman, but when you get into i think it's your late 30's you have a higher chance of having a child with down syndrome, iim not saying not to have one, because those children are very loving, im just letting you know that because you will have quite a medical bill because of all of the things the child will have to have done to them. like all the physical therapy and what not.
