Are they starting a prohibition on smoking?

As a smoker (knowing it is bad for me) why are people trying to stop our right to smoke? I can't even go into bars and smoke? What? Tell me smokers (or former smokers), how you feel about this?

As a smoker, I honestly don't have too many issues with public buildings disallowing smoking inside. Most bars don't have very good air circulation systems, and the smoke just hangs and stagnates. Not everyone wants to breathe in smoke like that. Our rights to smoke don't trump someone else's right not to inhale smoke.
I think a better solution would be to have smoking bars, bars where smoking is allowed, as well as no-smoking bars. That way everyone's happy. Smokers can go to smoking bars, non-smokers can go to non-smoking bars.
When it mixed company...well, it isn't that hard to step outside to have a smoke.

Today it's smokers and few care but when the government starts telling you what you can and cannot eat "for your health"...then they'll care. There are still some indoor bars that you can smoke in down here in Florida and we also have the advantage of the weather so there are plenty of outside bars that also don't prohibit smoking. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing the "second hand smoke" rap. If it were true the Baby Boomer generation in the U.S. would be dropping like flies because most of our parents smoked around us when we were young and most of us started smoking ourselves at a young age.

I am a smoker. I don't have any problem at all with not smoking around people who don't. It hurts them to breathe my second-hand smoke a lot more than it hurts me not to light up in front of them. Of course, I don't even smoke inside my house. I have 3 children, and I don't allow ANYONE (myself included) to smoke around them. It's my personal choice and/or right to hurt myself. Everyone else has a right to protect themselves.
