What's your opinion about wearing a helmet on a motorcycle?I believe that we should all wear it,because it saves lives!!But i am against police for putting bikers to pay money, because they do not wear it!They don't bother anyone and if somebody is going to be hurt this will be the biker. Why to pay them?I never understood this situation.I think it as another way for police to make some money!

I am a biker and have had many bikes over the years and I hate having to wear a helmet as it takes away the freedom a bike gives you. I know it is the law and for safety but surly if a biker decides not to wear a helmet and take his or her life in their own hands they should not be fined for it

It should be left to the choice of the rider as he knows whats good & whats not.By the time he gets the license he would be mature enough to think whether to wear helmet or not.Why do the police simply scratch their heads?
The only reason will be coz' of the bribes taken from the helmets manufacturing companies.Otherwise why would one care for the others head that too in this cruel world?

Penalizing the bikers who do not wear helmet is something that should be enforce to avoid messy accidents. I really think the penalty is just so that everybody will be compelled to use helmets and avoid accidents too. I guess there is a tendency that when there is a stiff penalty involve most bike riders seem to comply but when it is loosened there is a chance that many will not follow the oridnance. So if you want to bike safely and avoid penalty then might as well try to follow it.javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$lbStart','')

I think that people should be made to have motorcycle helmets because they are helpful in saving lives. I jus think there are many reasons that people might not want to wear a helmet but there are many reasons why they should as well. I guess there are some people that are not going to want to wear them, but should.

If a biker values his or her life, then more protection that they can wear, the better. I am not against motorcycles but in a car, motorcycles are hard to see at the best of times. I feel that motorcycles are dangerous.
I did see a show where a motorcylist got run over by a truck. As the rider was wearing his helmet, the guy survived. The helmet was broken with the truck running over it but just imagine, if the guy did not wear his helmet, where would he be now.

It my hometown where i live it is up to the biker to wear a helmet or not. Its not a law here at all. I do belive though that everyone that drives a motorcylce should wear a helmet for safety reasons. I used to ride on the back of bikes alot and i always had a helemt i even had my own helemt to wear. I had a friend in the past year die, she was on the bike of the bike and she flew off hit a pipe in someones yard, she had a helemt on and she still didnt make it. Then of course there are other accidents that i had a friend that i used to ride on the back of his bike alot and he did a wheelie and came down and the bike didnt land correctly and he passed away. There are a couple more deaths of people on bikes that i know but i believe everyone should wear a helmet and it really should be a law.

Police only enforce the laws that the lawmakers pass. So they really do not have a choice. I am in favor of helmets for this reason. I used to work as a medical transcriptionist in a hospital. All you have to do is type up the notes from one motorcycle accident where the driver was not wearing a helmet or where a driver was not buckled up. Even though you do not see the actual patient or corpse, it is not hard to picture the results. Sorry, to be graphic but it is a hard reality when working in a hospital.
