My 25th grade school reunion is coming up in a couple months. Just got the invite yesterday. I'm really debating on wether or not I want to go. I have some people that I wouldn't mind seeing again, but no one that I am currently still close to, or really have been friends with for atleast 15 years. It's going to be a casual event at a pub/restaurant that's walking distance from my home. I just don't know if I want to see these people and tell the story of my life 50 times. Have you stayed close to people you went to grade school, or high school with? Do you attend your class reunions? Qhat are your reasons for going or not going?

I've thought about it, but I didn't like most of the people then. I doubt if anything has changed. Plus I hate that they charge so much. If I'd wanted to see them again, I'd have stayed friends. The friends I did have are still with me, and they aren't planning on going either!

Same. If they really wanted to be friends, they wouldn't need a reunion to show it. Maybe it is bitter, but I prefer to think of it as being practical. Why waste time pretending?

I just don't want to go and walk away with the feeling that I was just surrounded by a bunch of phony people. We aren't close, so don't act like you really care about what's been happening in my life. Gee, that sounds bitter, and I'm not. I'm just not sure I care enough to put out the effort.

I went to a couple of our class reunions. I think it was the 10th and 20th reunion. I passed on the 30th. The people I graduated with were people I once knew and really didn't keep in touch with. However, I will consider going to the next reunion.

Another reason I have passed on attending these galas was the expense. Unfortunately we don't all make salaries that would allow us the pleasure of spending $35 plus!

Yea, that's tough. i'm hesitating on going and I don't have that excuse. My reunion is literally like 2 blocks away from where i currently live.

We don't have any class reunion in my school. I am living not too far from my school and I don't see any reunion going on there. That would nice to meet our old school friends their. I don't know about anyone of them as all of them moved to new city and I got stuck into my home town.

If thats the case better to attend, its also great feeling to meet some classmates before. Just don't think of those bad times before, its done and doesn't matter if your close to them or not. Because one of the best things to that is to nurture and showcase friendship among you and to celebrate the existence of life and aim for goodness in all aspects. Good luck to you and hope you enjoy!
