Is half of two plus two equal to two or three? Do you know it

I hope that this is not a trick question because I very seldom get those right. I will give this a shot. Half of two should be one One plus two should then equal three. On the other hand. Half of two plus two can be taken as: Two plus two equals four and then one half of four is two. I think you will have to pick depending on how you want to do this.

Its like this 1/2(2) + 2 = so it will be 3

It could be either answer depending on how it's read. Using mathematical logic, (half of two) plus two would equal three, while half of (two plus two) is two.
