Would you give up everything just to be happy for the rest of your life?

I'd give it all up if it were all material things as man can never be happy alone. Material things are nothing to me so I generally prefer to have true friends than having material goods. Material goods can also lead to greed thus causing unhappiness to every single one. Living life in the simplest matter is my motto.

I wouldnt give up everything for happiness for the rest of my life for a couple of reasons. What about the things that make me happy now? I wouldnt want to give that up. Also I dont want to be happy 24/7. Life is full of emotions. How boring life would be without sadness or anger. That is what makes life interesting

I wonder if giving up everything also means giving up the things that make you happy now? Maybe that would make you unhappy too. I am pretty much miserable as far as money is concerned but I am not unhappy because i am alive and I can try to make some money. cheers!!

Why not? I live to be happy and if giving up everything could make me happy then I would do so. I always do what could make me happy. And of course, it also depends on what "everything" I must give up just to be happy.

Hi lotter there is only one mantra to be happy ,according to me.That is to keep a positive attitude .Always think positive.Each and every thing and problem has two aspects in it ,one is negative and the other is the positive one ,look for the positive aspect always.So why are you eventhinking of such possibilities ,where we have to give everything to br happy,if you want to imagine then imagine something positive ,like what if i get a chance to make some people happy for a whole day! all the best and happy mylotting.
