Does you Dog Hate Rodent ?

My dog is afraid of them, actually terrified. He wouldn't go near my hamster. And my hamster would actually antagonize him for it.

my dog hates rodents but loves cats. we have a cat, in fact a kitty and they are like brothers. they grew up since they were little, they slept toghether and ate toghether. my dog doesn't loves other cats, only ours. they play very well toghether.

I have two dogs- one is a german shepherd, the other is a corgi mix. I also have a pet mouse. My german shepherd loves the mouse! He will sit there and stare at the mouse cage all day long. Of course I never let my dogs in the same room as the mouse unless I'm there to supervise. But whenever I let my mouse run around in his ball, my german shepherd will lie down and the mouse will run over to him and they'll just sit together and smell each other. My german shepherd will snuggle up against the mouse and just lie there peacefully. It is so adorable! I've never let them interact with the mouse being outside of the ball, so I don't know if that would be any different. But he's very sweet and gentle with the mouse when he's in the ball. And my corgi mix just completely ignores the mouse. She has no interest at all in him. And neither of them have had any experiences with wild rodents. They'll both chase squirrels, but they've never come anywhere near close to catching one.

We have two adult pitbulls. One of the dogs absolutely hates small animals. We have three ferrets that we have to keep seperate from her because of this. She even caught a possum once and tried to bring it into the house! Our other dog has no problem with other animals though she loves to play with them, especially our ferrets, she loves her playtime with them and even protects them from the other dog when she gets close to their cage she will guide her away!
