Foremost, I've noticed that your posts counter registers that you've responded to only 1 discussion to date; so I presume that you're a newbie in this wonderful mylot community. I sincerely hope that you enjoy it here and eventually decide to stay for good.
Going to your topic in this particular discussion, I believe that the global financial crisis has tremendously affected almost everyone in the planet today. But with respect to the 2 industries you mentioned, I think the Information Technology (IT) sector is much more gravely affected than the banking industry. Inasmuchas some local banks have confirmed that they have previously invested in the Lehman Brothers investment house, they are still in operation up to this day. Some of the banks which closed recently were allegedly mismanaged, as opposed to it being closed due to the ongoing recession.
The IT sector on the other hand, particularly the manufacturing of chips section or department; were forced to close shop because job orders relatively reduced. Furthermore, I have heard that even the supervisors or officers who weren't directly into the production have to follow the shortened number of office hours or working days in a company.
