Do you know why you were named what you are named?
I was named Holly because when my mother was in labor, she was watching a soap opera. One of the characters on the soap opera was named Holly. She liked the name and decided to name me Holly when I was born. Before that, my name was going to be Shel.

My mom took the first letter of my dad's name and gave each one of us kids a name that started with the first letter. I also had an uncle with the same name, and it is possible I may have been named after him, but many things happened right after I was born so I am not really sure about that.

My real name is Vijay which in the Indian language of Hindi and the ancient Indian language Sanskrit means Victory. Since victory carries positive vibrations , i suppose thats why my parents gave me that name.Every alphabet carries a particular vibration since it is related to sound. The combination of alphabets which induce a positive vibration in the meaning of that particular combination gives positive results. The word anger carries negative vibrations which produces a negative result. In the case of your name Holly, the moment you utter it you connect it to Christmas and the Christmas tree which stands for peace, love and goodwill to all and therefore a positive vibration is created. Now you will really be happy that your parents gave you this name and because of the other reason.lol

I was given a very common name because it was a popular name in the late 70s and early 80s. I wished my parents didn't give me that name because sooo many girls have the same name as mine.

I was given my name just because my mother liked it. Good thing I am a girl if I would have been a boy my dad got to pick and was going to be Harley (first name) Davidson (middle name) I already got enough teasing growing up with the last name of Baker.
