A few questions about starting discussions

March 20, 2009 5:10am CST
1. Do you always choose an 'interest' before you start a discussion, or do you opt for 'general'? Does it make a difference to the responses? 2. Is there a way to keep your discussions rolling so it is out there for everyone to read and respond even after a couple of days? Because I find that I generally get responses only on the first day that mine are posted. Why is that? 3. Do you have to have reached a 1000-mark record to get more people to respond to your discussion? Why is it that some discussions (even if they are boring) get more responses than others? Your advice and suggestions on this are welcome.. especially from the veterans on this site! :-)

I have been here to years but I have started very few discussions. Some of them have over 100 responses because, just as you ask they come back to life. In the column on the right of every discussion you will see 'similar discussions' ------ and others see it too. It is enough to add a comment to a response or a comment on one of your older dicussions to see it appear there. Then it gets a kick back to life and keeps on recieiving responses, as long as the topic is something of interest to many users.

Not only for new users but older ones too! I have several old ones reappearing - even today! The new users have not seen them soto them they are 'new' and that's why they are still very active I guess

Good questions, yes someimes I do but other times, I will just post right off the top of my head, maybe somehing happened thst day, or I might post about something I seen that day. but I think if I go to an Interest I probably would write more lines. Have a wonderful weekend!
