8-1 Feild,defensive??

I recently heard some expert say that the only glitch India made way setting 8-1 field for aussies in nagpur test.I beg to differ, looking at the situation, India were 1 up in the series, and it was the last match for aussies to stage a comeback, setting such a field was a wicket taking option for dhoni as he asked them to play across the line and try different things,so in my opinion surely given the situation it wasn't a defensive ploy. What do you think?

i watched that test match too.if they call 8-1 field as defensive ,then wat would they call when the aussies made the entire team to field in the slip and bowled outside off all the time?defensive?i thought dhoni made on of those few good moves.they bowl outside off,we already in the lead and if u want to push for the win,u have to take some risk.i cant see anything wrong with that.if it continues at this rate,they may even complain having silly point and short leg as defensive.
