I was walking down the street when I was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked me for a couple of dollars for dinner.
I took out my wallet, got out ten dollars and asked, 'If I give you this money, will you buy wine with it instead of dinner?'
'No, I had to stop drinking years ago', the homeless woman told me.'Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?' I asked.'No, I don't waste time shopping,' the homeless woman said. 'I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive.'Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?' I asked.
'Are you NUTS!' replied the homeless woman. I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!'
'Well, I said, 'I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take
you out for dinner with my husband and me tonight.'The homeless Woman was shocked.
'Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting.' I said, 'That's okay. It's important for
him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair
appointments, and wine.'
JUST GOT THIS ON MY MAIL.... wanted to share laughs.

hahaha. That would be pointing a good point when you want your husband to understand that we women needs to go shopping and needs to go to the beauty salon and of course massage and spa. I have no time for that for the mean time but of course I still wanted to go around and shop and to go to the baeuty parlor. My husband does not drink and I no longer drink, i think I stopped a year and a half ago.

I'm sure this was supposed to be funny, but I find it kind of sad.
I once saw a girl who was panhandling to try to get some cash, so I took her to a restaurant for lunch. She was so grateful that she couldn't eat it at first because she was crying in relief and gratitude. She had not eaten for 3 days. True story.
When I told my husband about it (because I was late for an appointment we had together so that I could have lunch with this girl) he told me he was proud to be my husband because I do things like that.
I guess the reality takes the funny out for me. Sorry.

So interesting! I think that woman must not be patient to answer your series of questions, then she has been going for another person for begging! Thanks very much!
