What breed of dog is your favorite and why? (mixed breeds count too) BREED: Toy Poodle I have been around so many dog breeds since I was a child and I would have to say my all time favorite is the toy poodle. PROS: 1.They are supersmart-(I have one toy poodle and one toy maltipoo)I potty trained both of them superfast, and they understand most things I say. 2.They don't shed 3.They don't smell 4.They don't run away (I don't need a leash, they stay by my side all the time) 5.They are great with my kids 6.They are huge cuddle bugs, lap dogs CONS: 1.They have bad teeth 2.Its a pain to cut their hair 3.They bark at everything

my favourite dog breed would have to be a pitbull. i would never risk owning one because i have seen them do very deadly things to their owners and people of their surroundings. i have actually witnessed a pit murder its trainer because the trainer stepped on its puny tail. i think wat makes them my favourite breed is the deadliness of it and because of how viscous they are. i admire anything that i fear so if im devastated by pitbulls that would mean that im a huge admirer of those animals. And there u have it, me defending my favourite breed of dogs. No haters please that's just who i am and what im about, voila

You know, Pitbulls are viscous because of the owner. If you get a Pitbull puppy, then you should not be scared. You can raise him/her however you want. If you want the dog to be a big mean guard dog, that's what he'll do. If you want him to be a big lovable bear-dog, then he can do that for you to. It just depends on what he learns as a pup. People abuse Pitbulls as pups...but don't realize that full-grown Pitbulls are powerful animals, and without proper training, can hurt anyone in sight. Please, don't blame it on the dog. It's the fault of the owner, not the pet.

Your entitled to your own oppinion..but have you ever actually owned a dog as a pet? Setting the viciousness aside, what other dog would you choose?

Newfoundland! I've had many dog breeds, German Shep, Choc. Lab, Husky, Jack Russell, Pomerian.. And I'd have to say that my two babies have put me on the Newfoundland Bandwagon. Pro- They are lazy, but will play at your will Silent Protective They watch EVERYTHING you do Very smart, and easy to train (my pup was trained to sit, stay, lay down within the first 2hrs of having her, she was only 5wks old) Love the winter and snow (so do I) Love to go on walks HUGE DOG Little to no slober Not big eaters Hair EXTREMELY easy to pick up/sweep up Loyal and did I mention they sleep almost constantly? Cons- Hip Dysplsia Sheds constantly

My dog is a mixed dachsund and terrier. He is really cute and sweet. He is a good watchdog but can get really cranked up sometimes, especially when he sees another dog. I think that he is just really cute and is a really fun pet to have around. I love my little bow wow and would not trade him for the world.

My first favorite dog breed will be the pitbull. Thought everybody seems to misunderstand these kind of dogs, and many thinks that they are not appropriate to play with children but in reality they are very intelligent, loyal, lovable and charming dogs. The second one is my labrador retriver.

You are correct, most people misunderstand the pit. Its the owner, not the dog. Most people do get these dogs and treat them the wrong way, which makes them a bad owner with a bad dog. Not the breed...

I love shihtzus, we currently have 2 (one girl and one boy). They are very sweet and never fails to get excited whenever I come home. They are great household pets and their food it not too expensive since they only eat a little compared to large breeds.

My favourite breed has always been the German Shepherd. I've owned several and had cross breeds too. Pros:- Intelligent, loyal, beautiful, can be trained to do virtually any job man can need a dog for - and very obedient, great with people without being overly friendly, and a great 'protector' just by being there! Cons:- Shed all year round so require constant grooming and a very good vaccuum cleaner (lol) large and tend to be very boistrous as adolescents, very vocal - and it's a very loud aggressive-sounding bark! I learnt to walk by pulling myself up on a large male who had the patience of a Saint!

My favorite breed, hands down, is the Beagle. I fell in love with those dogs the first time I saw them. They are absolutely adorable, possibly the CUTEST dogs I have ever seen. They are also very loyal, and they get along well with everyone. They're also very easy to groom because they have short hair. They can be your lap dog, or your exercise partner. The only CON is the barking. I've heard people say that Beagles have the loudest and most annoying bark. I could get past that, though! I'm not fond of "toy" dogs at all. Actually, now that I think of it, I'm not really fond of any fluffy dog.

my favourite dog is my own. it is a mixed breed, with setter, a black one. she has good parts and bad parts. the good one are she is very lovebul, she plays with our cat, she loves our cat. she does her duties outside. bad parts are she chews the flowers in the garden, she digs holes, she barks in the night. but the dogs are such a joy for us, because they love us unconditionally.

I think that for each type of personality a person can posess there is a dog breed that fits them perfectly. An easy example is the German Shepard-first thng that come to mind is the police-aggressive, if trained to be and demading. Another example is a Pit Bull-first thing that come to mind may be gang members or thugs who use the dogs for protection. And lastly mine is a Labrador-always excited, fun, loving, and caring.
