Do we get paid for sending private messages to Mylot friends?

On days that I send private messages to my
Mylot friends (and we talk back and forth via private message),
I've noticed that my daily earnings go up.
Just wondering if anyone knew if this earnings spike
could be related to using the Mylot private message system.
Does Mylot pay us (as Mylot users) when we use
the private message system?
Would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Hi, beautyqueen26! I don't think that myLot will pay us for emailing via private mail. If they would, it would be nice to have some more extra money. But, I am unsure of the answer to this. You may need to refer to you earnings FAQ's. And if the answer is not there, then contact myLot and ask them this question. Or maybe someone from here can point you in the right direction. I hope that you can get the answer to this discussion.

Thanks for your help on this subject.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking or hope on my part.
Would be nice for members to be paid for everything
we do on Mylot, not just public posts.

Hi, beautyqueen26. I have not noticed this about my earnings and I do PM back and forth a bit with a person or two. But if you believe it to be true, feel free to PM me all you like.

I also think that they don't pay for private messages. I think messages are one of the way to communicate with each other. Well, it is first time I am hearing that earnings are going up through message. I also like the idea of having chat session in myLot. This will helps to increase the communication between the myLot members.

The chat session idea is a good one.
Perhaps it would make the Mylot
members feel more like a community.
With a live chat, you have that
feeling of being in the same room
as the person.
When one person says something, they get
an answer back, then and there
and don't have to wait for hours.
It's a really good idea.
I hope it catches on.

You could concoct an experiment to find out for sure. Suppose you took one day and only wrote private messages on myLot. No discussion activity, no image uploading, no tasks...just private messages. If you find you made money that day that wasn't from your referrals, then you'll know that myLot is paying you for sending PMs! It might be nice to take one day to connect with your myLot friends on a one-to-one basis. I don't often send PMs, though; if I suddenly were to start, I think my myLot friends would feel I'd gone nuts!

Mine would too!
But, I do like your idea.
One day, I might just do private messages
and the next one only upload pictures
and do nothing else.
That way I would know for sure.
Usually doing a variety of things
around the site, including posting
to news, blogs, uploading pics, chatting
at discussions; starting discussions, etc.
makes more money for me.
Maybe it's a volume issue.
I'll check into it.
Thanks for your input.

I've always wondered the same thing. I think we get paid every time the site asks us
for tags. And since it asks for a tag when we send a private message, I think we do get
paid for it, but no one knows for sure.
I have spent many hours in the last year I have been a member, trying to figure out how
we get paid here. I have done many experiments to see. One of the things I did was send
private messages and nothing else, to see if my earnings went up, but they didn't. So
I am not sure about this one.
Alrighty then, talk to you later my friend,
Have a good mylotting day, Chris

Stay positive! I'm trying to cook
up some support for this idea.
If we all pull together and support this idea,
Mylot might start paying us for the little things
including private messages.

I do not send that many messages, and have not noticed an earning spike. I would not be surprised however, because they say that they pay you for all activity on MyLot.

That's true. I've read that in the Mylot FAQ.
I think it's one of those unsaid ways of
earning.
Mylot is good about helping out members.

I dont think they pay us for this. Wouldnt it be cool if they had a chat feature like facebook has if you no facebooks. It shows who of your friends are online and you can open a small window to chat with them.

That would be awesome!
Chatting is so much fun and it's the one
thing that Mylot lacks that I would love to see.

I doubt they pay us for sending private messages to friends. Since if they did im sure we would all take advantage of it lol. I would message all of my friends every day if they paid us which I would be getting a lot of money but im sure they realised that and it would be dumb for them to pay us to private message people.

I guess it's more wishful
thinking on my part.
Certainly, it would be nice if
they did pay us to do things
like send private messages to friends.
But, if they don't then that's
alright too!
Thanks for your comments

I don't think we get paid for pm's but I agree with the comment on experimenting by having a day of just sending pm's to people just to find out.

I don't send enough PM's!
That's for sure.
But, I love chatting via PM.
I should definitely do more.
It was just one of those days
and it was so much fun.
And, the next day I noticed
more money than usual.
Maybe it was a fluke.
I'm hoping not.
Thanks for your comments.

Hi my friend. I am definite that we don't get paid by sending private messages. These messages are for our personal use and no other persons can access it but the sender and receiver; sponsors cannot benefit on the page which makes me think that MyLot doesn't generate views and revenue on the page obviously. Just my thought. See you around.

It's quite possible, but I can't really give you an answer to your question. I use the private messaging system, but haven't noticed that it changes my earnings any. I guess it's worth keeping an eye open on that one.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

not that I know but things might have changed now
doesn't sound possible though I mean why would they pay for pms? isn't it personal, and how do they determine the grounds of payment?

Hmmm~
I have considered this possibility before as you can also include sending Personal Messages to other members within the 'participation' column whenever you check you earnings but, I have not really taken any initiative to keep track of my earnings while only sending personal messages when I suddenly got active on replying back and forth with another member in this site..
