Broadband connection still costs a fortune here in India.
I would like to know what kind of internet connection you guys are using?
So please let me know to which country you belong to and how much do you pay for your internet connection on monthly basis.
Is it DSL/Cabel or plain modem?
What kind of speed do you get from it?
Thanks and take care

I am using broadband connection that has 512 kbps downlink and i pay 1600 per month. There are news that they are going to upgrade the speed very soon.
Guess what, Airtel has brought up broadband connection that has 3.2mbps downlink for only 1600 per month. They have to do more before i think of switching providers.
I will have to buy a modem that costs more than 10,000 if i am to switch to airtel.

512 Kb is considered to be a very good speed for home user.
Unless you are a online Gamer 512 Kbps can take care of all your needs.
The area where i am located Airtel does not provide their service so i am stuck with the local cabel guys for my internet connction.
Take care.

Well if your lookin for a cheaper broadband connection get yourself a Hathway i dont know if Hathway is effective in your region where u reside cause it is quiet cheap u can get 128kbps(Unlimited) for 500 INR and 256kbps(Unlimited) for 700 INR in India but if you want an effective sollution then go in for Airtel the best of the rest. Airtel gives u DSL and Hatway gives you Cabel, and i think Reliance gives u 358kbps for 700 INR not sure check it out.

Hathways looks good but the issue is they are not readu to provide service in my area.
so i have very limited choice while choosing an ISP.
Either i can go for my local cabel netwok or i can use MTNL connection.
I hope this will change very soon.
Thanks for responding.
Take care.

Here in the philippines it cost around 40 dollar a month or more and the speed would be 384kbps which is so slow you can upgrade it to 6mbps and that would cost a little bit expensive.
