I'm very happy for you for the longest time writing songs didn't really make sense to me but now it seems to be coming together and I'm really excited to start recording them and putting final touches on them soon. I wish you luck in the future with your music because music is such a powerful thing and a great form of artwork. Just stay true to yourself and write the songs you want to and put all of your emotion and feelings into it.

Well done to you :0)
I love writing poems and songs. I have written over 100 songs since I was 13 years old but they are only lyrics with no music as I don't own any instruments to write any music for them so you should be very proud of what you have achieved so far.
The very best of luck for your future, which looks very bright so far x

With 11 songs under your belt, it sounds like you will be writing hundreds before long. Now the next step is: What will you do with them? Do you sing and play them yourself or find a band or other singer to take them on? I have never written a song before and wouldn't even know where to start.
Good luck on your songwriting career!

Congratulations! Do you know about copyrights? Make sure that you at least mail a copy of each one to yourself and then you should register them in a collection.

The simplest and least expensive way is to make a copy of the song and mail it to yourself. This is what people have used for years but it is harder to prove than if you register the songs with the library of congress.
If you choose to go the official route it is less expensive to publish your songs in a collection than to do them individually.
