OV's 50th Celebration

Canada

Last night, upon scoring his 50th goal of the season for the third time in four years, Alexander Ovechkin's goal celebration stole the thunder. He dropped his stick over the ice and began motioning with his hands over the stick that it was too hot to handle. Today, many analysts here have been ripping apart Ovechkin for his excessive celebration. Personally, I loved it. I thought it was exciting, and entertaining and the NHL needs more personalities like Ovechkin in this league. It's a milestone goal and I see no problem with this little one-off celebration. Congratulations Ovechkin on another successful season. I see him leading the Capitals to the conference title and deep into the post season. He's earned the time to have some fun and enjoy life.

God only if people knew what proffesional and junior level hockey players say to eachother. They would forget this horseshit and be complaining about"foul language in the sport''.The fact is this guy is living the dream, and hes one of the best damn players of all time.He has a pasion for the game, give the man a break.I'm sure players were ragging on him about it, the last thing he needs is fans and media on his case.Way to go Ovie!

I have to agree with Amarrra. I never did like him when he first came to the league. He is very cocky and a puck hog as well. Pass the puck to your teammates. There is no way that he is going to win MVP. Malkin is going to win that.

Thgis isn't the no fun league, i.e. the NFL,. Hockey players do get to celebrate and this was a classic. The stick is too hot! I love Ovie and I am so lucky that he plays for my local team.I feel sorry for those who only see the celebrations and not Ovie's play. he is a cross between a finesse player and an enforcer. He isn't afraid to finish his checks and he Knows he will be hiy and he doesn't care.Plus, he is the first to celebrate whwn gis team mates score. In fact you can't tell the difference in the celebrations. This is how this man plays, if you don't like it, I feel sorry for you. He brings excitement to every game,Ovie is MVp this year.

To be honest, I thought he made a fool out of himself and it was actually pretty disrespectful...his teammates were supposed to do it with him, but they just left him hanging...haha.
