Did you ever get connection trouble ?

hi srikandi Am sorry about your connection. Sometimes, when the internet has a low bandwith or it's slow in downloading or uploading the page will not upload easily or won't display at all... You said you had contacted the ISP for this problem and they told you the area is ok... this is a secret on a ISPs cuz I worked on one before as a tech support. I found that in their main that if they have a problem in one of their links that provides internet in one area, they would link to another link to give at least internet connection to that area but it's gonna be real slow and hard to connect. They won't tell you that they are having a problem because that would give them a lot of problem while they are trying to find a way to solve the problem at hand...At times like these, they best thing you can do is to wait for the internet connection to get better or for them to resolve the problem. Most of the time if the customers keep bugging them of the crappy connection they wouldn't be able to make the repairs fasters with so many complaints coming in... The only time you can call again is if the problem persist in two days and let a technician from the ISP check on your physical connections. there might be a problem with the central switch/office you're connected at...^_^ I hope this helps...

Yes, i think having internet connection is a normal thing for us here. And what we usually do when we have interruption is that we call their customer service center to tell about the situation. Most of the time they do respond to calls and send their agent to check our line at home and do some series of computer tests but this did not solve the problem. When hubby got pissed calling them everyday for almost a month of continues interruption, we decided to give other internet company a chance if we shift to another one. So we voiced out to this company that if they still not fix our problem, we will discontinue our use and change to another company, probably they got the point already, so for now, it is doing well, or else we better opt for another one. Just bug the company if they don't give the justice of what you are paying them then say adios. Happy Mylotting!

Hi there srikandi19, Me too! i only open 2 pages and not more. So i rarely can login at mylot. Because the other site that i want tp open is sucking too much bandwich. ARRGGHH!! when is this be over?? Hick ...hick..

you wont believe what i'm gonna tell! believe me or not,my internet connection will get disconnected atleat every one hour..i think you can feel my situation!!once,i ven threw the mouse in frustration and that god it did not got broken! i dont exactly know what da heck is wrong with my internet connection...many of my friends in my area has internet connection from same internet service provider but they dont have problems... i think that my computer has some serious problems! just two weeks back,i got internet connection and at that time i dont had a antivirus installed! even after getting internet connection i did not installed! i think thats the real problem...i;'m planning to format my computer...and i think i'll doit by today evening! I am just using my mobile phone to surf the internet. I am using it for free because somebody hacked it for everybody to use. I'm am just using Opera Mini and would switch to another hacked version of Opera if it won't connect. There are times, especially at night that the internet is very slow. I would just sleep and start again tomorrow when it is back to normal again.

may be that time when u were using the sites it was busy with many users by this way some time some sites are not opening or do one thing restart ur computer and try it again u can solve the problem. if ur service provider check the problem it will better.

That is my common problem with my network provider too. I always end up pissed with them. I asked for rebates for the inconvenience. Still waiting for my dispute. They promised to do their job. Often times they will give me things to do with my computer like unplugging the modem also asking me to turn off the computer of sometimes having my computer restart. I told them that they are giving me extra work for their incompetence. Thanks for this discussion. I have let out my angry feelings to my network provider.

YEah, there are times whereby i get such a problem too.. MOst of the time, i wont bother about complaining or reporting because there's nothing they will do to solve the issue.. THus, i will jut shut down my computer and watch tv instead.. lol =D ABout 1-2 hrs later, i will try to log on again, an if it still does notwork out fine, i will not log in again till the next day.. lol =D BUt most of the time, 1-2 hrs of break in between, usually works for me ^_^

it happens to me too. i get connected to the internet via telkomsel flash. what is your isp? actually since my kontrakan is nyempil in narrow gang. i have problem in my connection. well, i have tried to connect when i was in pos ronda infront of my Gang.. and there was very strengt signal i got. i think building position affects the strengt of signal

ya i've had some issue with connecting with a site or two. its all the matter of the company or person that posted the site. the reason that you might have problems connecting to a site is because there might be lot of people at the site and using it or that the person might be updating or something along those lines. its really hard to say why it happens but it does. well i hope that you find the answer that your looking for and that you dont have any more problems with connnecting with sites.

We Surfers has the same Problems. It is the connection. No one has never got an interrupted connection. Our connections are interrupted either from our providers or from the site that we are visiting.

Yes sometimes I do have connection problems its really annoying when your trying to log in to one of your favorte sites and suddenly you cant because of some strange glitch, but so far today I'm having a good computer day.

Yes, i often having this. If you are really sure that the problem only at connection (after checking cable connection, etc), the only way is call the customer support and waiting for his/her action.

Hi Srikandi, I see that you use Indosat IM2, that ISP have many complaints about their service. Many members complaining that their connection is slow and sometimes member are unable to connect. Maybe you're considering in switching an ISP ? I'm using Speedy Broadband and rarely (almost never) get any trouble using the net. It's rather steep, but at least I don't get any trouble accessing the net.

I am very sorry to hear that. I have trouble with some sites sometimes too and dialup sure does not help the matter either.

If you can access some sites just fine, it might not be a connection problem. There might be too much traffic on some of the other sites and their servers are not able to handle the load properly. You could try opening up other sites to see if it is really a problem with your connection or just a problem with the websites.

It is normal that we occasionally get connection trouble to certain sites due to some reasons. It is usually due to the fact that the server you are try to connect is overloaded by too many users trying to connect simultaneously. Sometimes it may be due to hardware problems. If you use a modem or a router to connect the Internet, try to power them off and then power them on again. That may solve the connection trouble sometimes. I met a case in which the network wire has got loosened. Though the operating system showed a mark of successful connection on the right of the taskbar, I still can't open websites successfully. Later, I tried to change it and the problem went away afterwards. Hope my experience may help! Good luck!

Yes i notice such problems very often. i cannot open any other site.i cannot work i have to wait for 3 to 4 minto get the page i want, even i am finding difficulty to open mylot, its takine me a long time to post 1 discussion in place of which i can post 10

Well, i got connection problem many time. Usually the main cause of the connection problem is the ISP. The problem is there are only a few option for ISP in my country :( So i have no other choice than waiting the connection normal again. Hope our connection problem getting better soon ^_^

Yeah, sometimes I got connection trouble. Webpages opened very slowly, or even I can't open websites. Sometimes I reset the and restart my computer. And if it doesn't work, I will call the IS privider for help.
