I saw the Jay Leno show when President Obama joked about his bowling skills being like completing in the special olympics. I didnt think anything of it he was just being humorous. Despite that President Obama being the nice decent guy that he is apologized for the remark. So what do you think? do you think that President Obama shouldve apologized or not?

I liked the appearance. I just said that I think President Obama is down to earth. His self deprecating humor kind of backfired on him, but he didnt mean any harm by it. He was only being himself. I'm sure he did not want to say he had good bowling skills by any stetch of the imaginiation.

Being the President of the U.S., he should have never made that comment to begin with. Yes, he should have apologized, it was a down-right rude comment for someone in his position to make. It really wouldn't be any better coming from anyone else.

It just shows that, as tight a leash as they try to keep him on, it isn't tight enough. If he is in over his head with Leno, how is he going to go toe-to-toe with leaders of nations and groups that aren't so friendly?

Personally, I don't think he should have appeared on that show to begin with. It's just not a place for a President to be, but especially not in these tough times. As to the remark. I was taken aback. With being President comes a certain around the clock representative function, which includes a certain aura of dignity. Remarks like that are out of place and, well, un-presidential. In the relaxed setting of that show... I have to question if in private he is used to making remarks like that. Yes, he apologized, because he had to. Heck, even the liberal media was upset and ran it until they heard about the apology. This would have upset more people, if there wouldn't have been an apology. Just shows that as President he should stay away from shows like that.
